I tried it all but for ease of use and availability i like silica, so it's either my 2mm 'sensible' wick, or my superfat kite-flying 5mm silica that Clyde set me up with. That stuff is great with duals of 32g.

Sorry to hear of your tribulations Lisa - being the most generally antisocial man alive means i never have to throw people out, since they never come in the first place. Even the Jehovah's witnesses are wary of HRH.

W.T.Q..I have tons of CVS sterile cotton that I'll never use in my lifetime. This cotton doesn't have to be boiled first. I'd like to send you some, just PM me your name and address.
And are you the one that's out of 28 g. wire? If so, i have some I'll send you.


Ooops! No 28 g. wire, but I do have LOTS of 30g. and a small spool of 32g., if anyone wants it.


For anyone that reads this....I also have a ton of 30 g. kanthal wire (app. 400 ft., give or take a few feet)

And one smallish spool of 32g. Kanthal

My my...just looked thru the goodie box again and found some ecowool, 1.5, 40ft. of 2mm silica and what looks like 40ft. of1.5 silica...

c'mon someone, help me get rid of these things, don't go being all shy and stuff. Just pm me what you need....

T, I'd love to have a beer with you if I still drank! Maybe a coffee. It's easy to be antisocial anymore and even the most persistent Jehovah's witnesses and Baptists start to get the hint when you always disrobe before opening the door for them!

I do a full wrap. The ekowool gives me a itchy throat but when wrapped all is good

I've used hemp as well and find that it possibly (not scientifically tested) wicks slightly better than cotton, however it took a bunch of preppin', so out of laziness I have purdy much stuck with cotton at this point. I used Ekowool almost exclusively for many months and still feel it's a fantastic product, but currently I'm only using it for ProTank head rebuilds...

No I answer the door in my birthday suit or my skivvies but I also have an angry black dog so I just tell them he's hungry. They run pretty good. Now they don't come here anymore

Side note...

Theres 2 vapin' in our household and we have very different gear preferences, I am exclusively RDAs and RBAs, my better half loves her purdy Bella and Phiniac tanks, we both go the ProTank route traveling so I can be all over the place when talking gear

HRH gave tanks up after seeing the laziness with which i wielded a Reo. I started recoiling the tank heads before we ever got RBAs and she was happy with her eVic.

I do have a Fogger v2 tank on my old Silver bullet, but that's because i watched videos in tears of laughter at how hard people were saying it was to rebuild.

As a result, she just dumps all her gear on my desk and says "fix it" - usually 4 RM2s at a time :/

Yup, maintainin' gear for two, I did pick her up a Taifun GS (clone) the other day to use with one of her favorite juices that's a carto killer, she's likin' but it's just one more for me to build...
