You know I started having symptoms kinda like that for the last couple months. Usually while I'm in bed at night. I've had multiple lower back surgeries as well as discs fused in my neck. It'll feel like somebody poked the bottom of my foot with a pin, not lightly though...HARD! Burning and a deep itch that scratching does nothing to help. Have you had any deep itching? I've not been to the doc for this yet.
i've had constant random foot pain for a bit over 20 years thanks to neuropathy brought on by diabetes. you just kinda get used to constant pain. a week or two ago, i finally felt a pain that was in the same exact spot for 2 or 3 days in a row. sure enough- i had stepped on a kanthal clip. had to go to a clinic to remove it. seriously, i was damn lucky to recognize it as a real injury.
i have also had the deep itch. neuropathy basically means your nerves are totally confused and just kind of send random sensations to the brain-- pain, itching-fire-ice-- totally random (well, except for the good stuff
i've also had spinal surgery and my neck fused. that fixed a few of my previous symptoms, but not all.
you should seriously get those new symptoms of yours checked out, my friend.
the only reason i got tested for diabetes 20+ years ago is cuz i woke up one day and my foot was numb. the killer shooting pains started not long after. no clue if what you are seeing is in any way related, but the only reason i'm still alive is because i finally broke down and got tested...
