Hey Loren,

I did as you suggested and used an o-ring from an extra bottle. Seems to be working well so far. One of the things I used to not like about re-wicking or coiling was that I always had to remove the old atty base in order to get a grip to take the top off. Of course that resulted in a mess I had to clean up every time as their was always juice in the well and dripping off the base of the atty. With the base torqued down I can remove the cap easily without disturbing the base. Much cleaner and neater. Thanks a lot for the suggestion! No leaks so far, keeping my fingers crossed but I think I'm good to go. And the hole on my RM is pointing up. Yay!!!!

I'm doing better now, thank you. Is your work seasonal? If so then yeah, get it while you can. A buddy of mine up here is a carpenter/builder and work comes to a standstill in the winter time. If he doesn't save up for it before winter hits he's hurting.

Still, if there's nothing you can do about today... Well, enjoy your time off. Not to would really make the day a wasted one :)

Um well not really seasonal I'm a Union Boilermaker. We work on all the Refineries, Steel Mills, power houses, nukes, ect so I just have jobs. We go in and fix everything and do turnarounds and shut downs as a huge chunk of our work. I go to one and when it's over I call the hall and put my name on the out of work list and chill and collect unemployment till I get a phone call. I'll work like 9 or 10 months a year. I got called out to a hood job at one of the steel mills it's 3 weeks 12 hours a day 7 days a week. So two shifts and we work on it 24/7 till its done. My works kinda hit it hard and relax. The work is hard and takes a firm mind to go do these jobs everyday and not have a day off but the rewards are well worth it. Your co workers become family and you honestly feel a brotherhood of taking care of each other and the future of our trade. I make really good money on these jobs the overtime stacks fast. People from all over county from different Boilermaker halls travel here for work. I'm very lucky to live where I do it's industry central.

Good for you Fleet. I put the bottom part of the atty on by itself then screw the cap on so, as you said, no need to remove the bottom of the atty to rebuild, rewick etc.

Sounds like a good gig as long as you can stand the hours. That would have been tough for me to do. I give you credit! Glad you enjoy it and glad it pays you well. So many are underemployed, or unemployed and so many of those that do work are underpaid. Drives me crazy when I see the numbers of what CEOs make and how many times more it is than the average worker that is doing the work to make the money to pay the CEO. People really need to get a grip on things. And it ain't getting better.....

Happy that you're being treated fair and square!

muttermutter drool...I used to work from time to time with a photographer who did lots of theater photography and his wife was an actress. He would always give directions to me as in "stage right, stage left". It always made my brain bend a little bit. It does make sense though as it leaves no room for interpretation.

I know there was a cartoon character that always said "exit stage left". If you know who it was you win an organic cotton ball.

Oh I agree totally I spent the majority of my adult life working very hard and being underpaid. But I just kept focusing on that goal and finally one day I got a letter in the mail saying you've been accepted.

I can't remember where I put that organic cotton since I started using RxW. Hmm....Why don't we make this like one of those Made for TV ads. One cotton ball but if you order today you'll get two cotton balls. All you have to do is pay for separate shipping and handling.

Yeah, 2 balls is a better package, but I thought "handling" was always included for free.

Hi Torey, thanks for the "bad pun alert". I never would have caught it without it. It's difficult taking everything literally all the time.

Hope you are having a good day. I'm starting to feel better. I'm on the mend so it's downhill from here, thank goodness.

Not sure exactly what I'm suppose to do with the pin. If I make it flush, the pin seems gigglie. Darrel said it needed a side breather hole like the rm2. Did yours work without it. I guess I could just try it, but after reading the negatives, I'm afraid to. Would never do anything to hurt the reo I am using.
