I was thinking about leaving cause I thought I shared too much.

On all those lists that hospice workers tell you about, in the top 5 things people on deathbed regret is:
"I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings."

Most people don't regret stuff they shared......they regret not sharing. ;)

And I want to listen. I want to them to share. Listening is more important than talking. Wouldn't know it by my posts :) But that is how I feel. I've had mixed reactions when asking people, especially the elderly, to share. Some clam up, others enjoy the opportunity. The fact that someone cares. I don't know what it was like living through WW II, I want to know. Loves lost, loves gained, I want to know. Simply. Because. I. Care. As I've said before here, we are all brothers and sisters and we all will leave this plane. Let it not be a secret, share your pain. Share your gain. Share.

I've never told anyone here this, except for a very special lady in PM, but I am an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church. And I can practice in just about any state. Including conducting marriages. What you sometimes hear from me is preaching by way of sharing. And not preaching in the traditional sense. No fire and brimstone here. I only want to help people think. And make their own choices. Maybe learn from some of mine. I want people to be happy and enjoy, and pass that along.

I say this because I really care. About all of you. I'm also nuts.

Disclaimer: it only cost me my desire to become ordained. Their philosophy is that we are all here and God (or higher power as you see fit) gives every person the right to minister to their fellow brothers and sisters and lift them up. I hope I do my job well, now and in the future.

Good evening, Fleet, Sterno and anyone else that pops in. Scott, I just caught up on last nights and today's posts and did not see Lisa. Caught a glimpse of Wayne though.

Fleet- my whole life story plus some can be found in the Lounge
The crisis of this week is my Grandpa is in the hospital, after cracking 5 ribs and puncturing a lung. Been in ICU for 9 days and took a turn for the worst yesterday. Spent the day with him and the feuding family today. He's 87 and was fishing two weeks ago. Prayers or good vibes sent his way will be much appreciated.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Definitely sending my thoughts out to your Grandpa, and thoughts out to your feuding family. That's the last thing he needs, I'm sure. I'll be sending love your way, to be sure.

Thanks Rob. I didn't even notice till now your in S. Africa. Is shipping an issue when buying from here in the states?

No it isn't... it's a little more expensive and takes a bit longer to get here but never have an issue. I order fishing tackle from BPS and Tackle Warehouse all the time and then from Reosmods is even quicker because Rob uses a $48 service which works really well!

Fleet - Thanks for the song and the hugs.

Della Cirque - Lots of good thoughts from me and I hope he gets to feeling better real soon. So hard to handle things we have no control over. Don't forget to take care of yourself too.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Got a bunch of stuff that probably won't get done today but I'll give it good try. :wub:2all
