Jen, I hope you check in with us soon... if you have my number give me a call if you want. I know a thing or two about freaking out hearts :)

meanwhile, I will distract you with tonight's silly menu along with my bad attitude stories:

I went to Albertson's yesterday (new sales come out on Wednesday) to buy either a whole chicken to spatchcock (I love you Den!), country style boneless "ribs" or a boston ..... They were out of it ALL! Talk about bad management, you would think they would order the stuff that was on sale!

I was ...... so I just got some fruit and veggies and left meatless. I called DH and told him I really didn't want to go out to another grocery store in the 105 degree heat, and made him an offer: if he went to Stater Bros on his way home (see below) I would make him meatloaf. Stater Bros. meatloaf is the best (better than mine sad to say) and I only have to add a little bit of Worcestershire and some tomato paste to it. I can't eat it because of the bread but DH loves it, so I knew he would say "yes!" to the deal. So everyone except me is having a "treat" of meatloaf which they never ever get to have, and I will have some of my leftover homemade lentil and veggies soup.

I am also making my fruit salad: watermelon, tomato, cucumber, fresh basil, shallot and balsamic dressing. It sounds strange, but it really works together. No one thinks of that when they think fruit salad I bet! My (strange) brother can watch us enjoy it since he announced last time I made it he is allergic to tomatoes (along with nuts, eggs, fish and whatever else he decides he doesn't like). Funny, he eats pizza, marinara sauce, my veggie soup, meatloaf (with eggs, tomato sauce and the anchovies in the Worcestershire sauce) and doesn't have any reaction...

And for the veggie, squash (zucchini and yellow) baked with cheese (because everything is better with cheeeeeeeese!!!).

I will most likely make quinoa unless one of my brothers decides he MUST have bread and brings a loaf to contaminate my kitchen. So, there you have it. My bad attitude, strange brother with "allergies" pissing me off yet again, and a menu of wacky things. And it all will taste fantastic :)

(Remember months ago? Stater Bros is the store I slammed my foot into the cart and almost fell when I slipped on spaghetti, and when I went to tell them about the pasta all over the floor I got a pissy attitude from them since they apparently already KNEW it was there yet failed to pick it up. I will not go there until, at the very least, the blackness on my toe is gone. Which means the nail will have to grow out. It totally ruins my pink toed pedicure!)

Karen, I have been keeping up with the Arizona gang's move. I have a question, having lived in Arizona for years I am wondering where in Arizona are they? DH is from Phoenix, I lived in Tucson and we both have grown kids there :)

They are in Tuscon. One week tomorrow! They are in a vacation home right now. Hopefully finding a rental soon.

I am so glad they are happy there. But I already miss them.

I have a timeshare there I haven't used in a few years, yet have been paying for. If you find some time off, let me know it most likely will be available. At least this year it is still available :)

Tucson is so much better than Phoenix, it is cooler and of course the University of Arizona is there (sorry Pietro) ;)

Just got back from my Drs appt. Saw the new doctor for the first time. i'm in love. not only did she say my diabetes was in excellent control, but she tripled my pain meds.

Kay- if you see this, i'm now up to 2,700 mg of gabapentin per day.

You take it all at once and you'll hardly notice you're not wearing it. At least until you get to the frozen food aisle ;)

Good Evening REOVille. Home, finally. Tinkering with my VV Grands, a little auto wax here, a new coil there...
Has anyone ever used a 2.5 Ohm coil on a VV Grand ? I wrapped one and thought I'd try it. Lots of Vapor and flavor, but I wonder how long the batteries will last...

As suggested to me by Nerek 2.5Ω seems to be a VV sweet spot. Battery life with it superb

I'm vaping a 2.3 ohm coil now on my VV Grand and it's very nice. Plenty of vapor and flavor is good. I vaped a 2.6 ohm coil yesterday and same thing. I've had to change batteries sooner but not a problem, I have 3 sets of the 18350's.

Be very careful with your gabapentin Dennis.

I was reading about it and YOU should also.

I found this: For PHN, a daily dose greater than 1,200 mg conferred no additional benefit and resulted in an increase in adverse reactions.
(PHN is: Postherpetic Neuralgia)

Jen wanted to let everyone know that her mom is resting comfortably. They will be doing some tests tomorrow and will decide where to go from there.

It sounds like she is in good hands, and Jen will be there with her :)

Thank you for the update on Jen's Mom Val!

I have had her in my thoughts all day.

Glad that is working well for you! It is what I run on my VV Woodvils. Maybe down to 2.2 but not lower. Plenty of room to up or lower voltage as needed.

They found a house and will be moving in this weekend!!!!

Oh, wait. I am talking about my daughter who moved to Arizona! LOL!

So excited that they were able to find one within a week of arriving there!

They will be renting, they didn't want to buy right now.

Can't wait to hear all about it and see pics!!!
