And the subtle difference between mechanical mods and vv's is clear. On a vv you run a higher coil resistance and you blast it with the power your mod provides.
On a mechanical you can only vary the resistance, so you lower it for more power.
If you think of mech's as VR, variable resistance, since you make the coil - it's a lot clearer since Ohms Law is V=IxR.

Just got back from my Drs appt. Saw the new doctor for the first time. i'm in love. not only did she say my diabetes was in excellent control, but she tripled my pain meds.
Kay- if you see this, i'm now up to 2,700 mg of gabapentin per day.

Finally made it outside for a Reo break, guy came up to ask me for a lighter. Guess I should have dewicked and given him a hot coil. 
After talking to Val, I'm feeling much
better and Mom is feeling better now in the cardiac ICU instead of neuro. She has a great nurse for the night, ate a little bit and is sleeping now.
