This is how i pack: valuables, computers and so on - i'll do myself; i'd like them to get to their destination in one piece.

Beds, furniture and tables - i'll pay someone else to move. Break those and i don't much care - HRH will just buy them all over.

Since i moved here they "redecorated the area" = knocked my gate down and replaced it with a solid fence (to keep them out or me in, i never knew?) and i really have no idea how i'd get the bed out of here now.

I hate moving house. I have done it a great deal.

Ya...there was a time in my life that I'd move about every 6 months to a year....and after being in this one house for 10 years, I'm still not ready to pack it all up again. The bonus is getting rid of a lot of minutia. We are, in fact, paying movers to do the heavy work. We're just doing the packing, sorting, discarding, recycling, etc. We'll be moving at least one truck load of stuff ourselves. The shop won't be ready by the time we move, so we've got a ton or two of tools and machinery that will be going to storage. Honestly...I hope this is the LAST time we ever move. I'm so over it already. The pros are going to be coming here twice. One trip in about a week to pick up all the stuff for my brother. Then two weeks after that to get our stuff.

Happy Labor Day Reoville!

I came to work 2 hours early today. Did part of the extra shift required by the holiday. Just glad the other staff did 3 1/2 hours extra! Now I am here till Thursday.

Had a decent few days off. Got some stuff accomplished. Took my van for a oil change too.

Did have one very exciting day. Got to talk with my friend Lisa for awhile and she always makes me smile! Then caught a really special Woodvil I had always wanted since I first saw the pics back in 2011! Out of the blue it became available and I could not type fast enough to try to acquire it!! Can't wait to get it here!

Now I am smiling again. Just the thought of a Woodvil arriving is always a quick pick me up!!

Everyone be careful and stay safe out there!

Good morning, everyone! Happy Labor Day....
On the docket for today is .....work. Yay. Not normal work...just more packing. Going to be working on the basement today. Good times  I wish someone could just do this for us so we don't have to. Tired of packing already.

Take a tip from my daughter Krista and keep a moving buddy (glass of wine) with you while packing! That and some good music playing will help!

Be careful too sweetie. Watch out moving boxes or crates. Take care of that back!

Ya...we warmed up by sweeping & vacuuming the new house yesterday. Lots of sawdust....want to make it as clean as possible for the flooring guys/gals. Woke up sore today. Took a hot shower to loosen things up and I'm nearly ready to get started. Just need to finish my last cuppa.

Hi Fleet :) Sending you oodles of calm and patience. Don't let them under your skin....I know, easier said than done. But you know how to do this. You got this. ((:)wub:)))

Thanks! Yep, nothing to do until tomorrow so I've been pretty calm. Still upsetting as this all has a negative impact on my son. Can't do anything until tomorrow so I'm going to relax and go to a BBQ in a couple minutes here. Thanks again for your kind, calming words :)

Right now I'm in the chair donating 2 more pints of blood. My son is beside me giving his 2. Now that is a great mother/son outing. He'll do anything rather than paint. Bahahaha. [emoji193] This makes my 116 pint. Just think...116 people with a little bit of extra craziness, thanks to a silly "rat". [emoji193] Ya'll have a great afternoon.

Good afternoon reoville. Hard hard day at work. At 10:30 this morning the soles of my shoes broke so I wound up walking around the kitchen almost bare door for 30minutes. During a rush I might add. While I waited for my brother to bring me some shows. I quickly discovered they weren't slip resistant so I slipped around for a while and almost busted my .... on several occasions. And on one of the occasions was in between the two sinks when I was running to quickly get a mop, and luckily as soon as my legs came out from under me adrenaline kicked in full force and my arms cupped and locked on the two sinks stopping my fall about a foot from the ground. Unfortunately that centered the full weight and impact directly on my shoulders. So all in all... A very long day. Now I'm home with my reo and an ice pack on my shoulders :D
