I love my doo-hickey (thanks Scott) and still use my thingamabob sometimes. Lost my thingamagig but still find time to make myself happy with my doodad. Can't give my thingy away even though I've tried. But glad I still have my whatnot.

The only issue with using ANY coils on any device is how low you build them compared to what the battery can handle, so you need to look up the specs of the battery you use.

Example: i use batteries that can output 30A in a grand. Ohms law R=V/I = 4.2 (nice, freshly charged battery)/30 (the most my battery can handle safely)
= a 0.14Ω coil. That's the absolute lowest i can go, with no margin of safety at all.

If your battery is the 1100mAh one rated at 8A, then the absolute lowest you can do is 0.5Ω, again with no margin of safety.

So - if you make 2 coils, each at 2Ω, they will measure as 1Ω when you test them, because duals and coils in parallel halves the resistance, so you're safe. Make 2 at 1Ω and you are pushing your luck.

Well, I just watched my first Baseball Game in about ten years. Used to be a HUGE Orioles Fan, took the wife and kids to Memorial Stadium, then Camden Yards several times each year.... until the Players got so greedy that they wouldn't even play the World Series. That's when I swore off Baseball.
I had to be told the Orioles were even in the Playoffs. Don't really care that much, but....
Anderson, Ripken Jr. and Palmiero are obviously not there anymore. Neither is Mussina. Tiger Stadium, which looked like a big, cavernous box, has been replaced by a new fangled, five sided cavernous box. Gina Carrera, Mickey Cabrera,Carlos Martinez, Ivan Hernandez, Speedy Gonzalez.... didn't matter that I don't know any of the players. There was some good pitching going on (always liked pitching) and lo and behold, The Baltimore Orioles are going to the ALCS.
And they beat three Cy Young Award winners to get there. Now if I could just remember any of the Orioles Players' names.....
