What I love about that show is eventually the zombies become almost secondary and it delves really deep into how individuals and the group reacts to the situations they are put in because of the walkers/other survivors. Trust me it only gets much better, the second season is where I went from liking the show to absolutely loving it.

That is what I have always said about the show. I didn't watch it for a long time because I was not "into" the zombies. But finally decided to give it a try.

I have watched every episode so far.

Like any show there are episodes that are not quite as good and those that are excellent.

The walking dead are just there. The main group of characters are the show.

My reason for not watching it before was that I assumed it was just like most zombie movies. I decided to give it a go after hearing peoples' comments here and at work. I will probably do a marathon this weekend via Netflix. I should be caught up to the new season within a couple of weeks. The gore is less than what I was expecting.

Well then. I'll jump right in about WD! As I said before, I always thought any zombie movies/shows were just dumb...and I began watching WD fully intending not to like it either. It took a couple of shows only to convince me that it's an amazing series and the zombies are only a small part of the whole story. It's the interaction and the way so many people handle situations so differently, the changes in the morals of some of the cast...''and besides, Darryl is a HOTTIE!:D

(hey...I'm only old, not dead!)

Now onto the Pennant race...I watched the 6th game today( I hate commercials so I DVR'D it last night)....my word, what a stunner! So this afternoon I decided to pre-record it so I wouldn't
forget ( I did mention that I'm old, did'nt I?) I hunted and hunted for hours! I was gonna ask y'all what channel cuz i could'nt find it, I googled it ( one site said it was playing on Wed. the 30th:blink:) but I didn't want you to know that I used to be a real blonde, so I kept searching.

I even fast-forwarded EVERY channel from this afternoon thru Fri! At 6:00 p.m. it finally showed up.

So in a few mins. I'm going to snuggle down in my caftan, with popcorn, and watch it all the way thru..no DVR'ing...

And, hopefully, not to offend anyone, but I hope the KC's win..only cuz they haven't since "85 ( thanks to whoever corrected me on this a couple of days ago:) and then maybe they'll generate more income next year from ticket sales and then maybe can acquire better players ( wait...they're in the pennant race! never mind...)

and Mama, if you don't like it...go eat chicken...

Hey ya'll. I finally watched the first episode of Walking Dead. I think I'm gonna have to watch a few more before I decide. I was expecting it to be more believable. Come on now. I would have taken every bullet in the precinct with me not just a gym bag and a couple rifles. And I'll tell ya right now, if it had been me. . . the horse would still be alive because I would have galloped all over those slow moving rotting idiots. I also would probably not been so nice to the little boy that hit me upside the head with the shovel either when I woke up.

Did anyone watch Constantine?

I saw it and it was good but very familiar to another tv series.

About the gore it comes and goes, there are times when it's just meh compared to the movies I've seen. And then there are episodes that make me go wow they showed that on TV!?!?! You just never know what to expect.

Bearing in mind that I am not prejudiced....my sis emailed this to me...so put any other state in it...

Two good ol' boys in a Alabama trailer park were sitting around talking one afternoon over a cold beer after getting off work at the local Nissan plant.
After a while the 1st guy says to the 2nd, "If'n I was to sneak over to your trailer Saturday & make love to your wife while you was off huntin' and she got pregnant and had a baby, would that make us kin?"
The 2nd guy crooked his head sideways for a minute, scratched his head and squinted his eyes thinking real hard about the question. Finally, he says, "Well, I don't know about kin, but it would make us even!"

On second thought...I should have edited this a bit...took out the Alabama, trailer park, and the "If'n...sorry if I offended anyone.
