My Grand is almost done.... I cut it down to a LP, gave it the look I wanted, and it's going back to Rob today today to have all its innards replaced. This used to have a black finish.

What did you use as a finish? Almost looks like a partially sanded red one from the pic. Very unique!

Wicked weekend in New England!
Snow at the Cape! Rob did you get hit? I heard parts of Maine got record snowfall for this time of year.

I stripped the black paint off with paint stripper, added texture to it by stippling it on all 4 sides with an engraver, gave it a light coat of hammered copper Krylon primer/paint, then sanded it to my liking. I love the antique-ish look! I will be topping it off with a brass button cover, then maybe a coat of clear over the whole thing. The brass/silver colored contrast looks much better than the picture shows

Very creative! I love to see what people have done to their Reos. I'd love to go with a cool forced patina door and matching brass atty.
