Before long, every state will have a "Smoke Free" Law Passed.

So contact everyone you know in Government, and tell them you have the right to be smoke free. This means a ban on;
1) tobacco Smoke.
2) Wood burning smoke. ( heat & fireplaces.)
3) Coal (Some electric generating plants still use coal fired ovens.)
4) BBQ Grills.
5) Outdoor leaf & wood burning.

Tell your law makers that you want to be smoke free, and you want all of it. That will start someone thinking. Smoke is Smoke no matter where it comes from, and it all has the same harmful gasses & chemicals.

Rub their noses in it. If you want it, you go the whole nine yards.

I wonder if this could open a door for discrimination against smokers.

They can quit burning the marshes here every fall also. We sometimes get black ash from the burns and we are at least 5 miles away. That is real hard on every ones breathing.

I government has become retarted and in fact I had some clients when I was a social worker that were smarter than some of our elected officials.

Jim, I enjoy your comments.

OMG, do you realize some of those ideas are already proposals for laws? Barbecue places have been hit with pollution citations (is there a better smelling smoke odor?). Wood burning stoves have been under attack as polluters. Outdoor burning is totally banned where I live. Don't even think about it! Fireplaces are in disfavor.

Don't get 'em started. I love the smell of autumn smoke when the first cold front moves through and homes light up the fireplaces (mine included).

The real world is more of a joke than your joke.

It *is* sort of funny. I recently did a job in Iowa. When I rented the car, the girl gave me a notice that there was no smoking in the rental cars. She smiled and said "Iowa is smoke free" I started laughing, and she looked totally puzzled. I hit her with the TOTAL smoke theory. She was really thinking when I left the counter.

Tbob, burning stuff in the yard is banned here too but they still burn the marsh every year. That is done by the state or federal park people. We have a wild life perserve at Sea Rim Park.

I love the smell of wood burning any time of the year, but your right about a cool morning. I enjoy my neighbors bbq smoke too, except it makes me hungry.

The goverment is getting to much in our personal business.

She was probaly still worring about being smoke free. You ruint her bragging rights too.

I truly question Mr.Bobs (ulterior) motives on this forum. He says he vapes but does nothing but bash it. Its very odd.

Naww - TBob is OK. He supports vaping 100%, and does more in the background than most people realize. He does lots of good things but just dosen't brag about it.

Actually... it's not all that funny.

The ...... in charge of the township I live in are passing all sorts of interesting things to do with smoke.

For example: Now you have to own an acre of property to burn leaves and yard rubbish.
There was a very UPSET man hanging out at the township hall, yelling... it appears he has ALMOST an acre... but was cited.
The neighbors on either of side of him, each own approx TEN acres, and are quite a distance from his lot. So, they can each burn leaves and yard waste, but HE cannot.

They proposed to ban wood stoves and fireplaces. They dropped that like a hot rock when I asked when the property taxes would be lowered, because we are currently taxed on them. If they become 'ornamental' then there is no sense in taxing them.
Of course... I also offered to rip the woodstoves OUT and drop them off at the township hall.

Some ..... proposed a ban on barbequing... which got shot down, by an angry mob.

This was all done in the 'interest' of clean air.

Some dufus moved in next to a dairy farm, in the middle of winter. He was down there trying to get dairy farms banned... it appears that when it warms up... it smells nasty.... humm... go figure.

Don't give the idiots anything ELSE they can think about banning!
They don't have anything to DO, and if they THINK you actually WANT to ban that stuff... they will be all over trying.

I've found in reading TBs posts he's what I call a natural debater. He always seems to present the opposing side. Post about anti e-cig b/c and he'll post the pro e-cig b/c. May seem more anti e-cig simply b/c being an e-cig forum most posts will be pro e-cig. I find it's helpful to have the arguement presented from all sides. Gives more time for planning your comebacks IRL.

And just as soon as the state/city/county whatever wants to pay my winter gas bill and for my yard clean-up, then they can have my wood burning funace and burning rights. Gladly even as I hate cutting, hauling, stacking, seasoning all spring and summer. Not to mention the lugging to basement, cleaning and loading furnace and ash disposal all winter. :grr:
