Please take a look at this: Voltage Drop - Not Where You Think | atmizoo vaping modware

If you are measuring with the same battery and atomizer but still get worse readings with the Roller, then you can do the following:

1) Clean the spring with a de-oxidant or remove it altogether.
2) Clean the battery-side contact with silver-cleaning cream (not the internals of the switch)
3) Clean the (brass) 510 connector threads (in & out) with a de-oxidant.

If you are still having issues, I'd suggest sending the device back for a check!
Thanks for the reply. I did further experiments.
When using 18350 the drop is the largest 0.67 volts on load. When using an 18650 the drop is less, around 0.40 volts. So I removed the washer that was on the bottom cap and the drop became only 0.20 volts which is the best of all my other mechanical mods. I am assuming that the washer is preventing the spring from bending all the way and making best conductivity and in the 18350 mode I think the spring is the most expanded which makes it the worst conductivity. I don't want to remove the washer and I think the spring should not be compressed to the max since it will not work as a hot spring anymore and protect against shorts. Am I right? What is the solution then?

Get one of these and then you can take the spring and washer out:)

The spring is made of brass, so, if it's oxidized, using it will result in a voltage drop. If you rub it on both ends with a scotchbrite (the green, rough surface) until it's shiny, things should improve a lot. Can you try this and post back? You are right that compressing it to the max is the same as not using it at all.

The spring is basically there for safety, not performance, unless it's always kept shiny clean!

Another possible reason for some voltage loss, especially in 18350 mode, is a loose bottom disk. The bottom cap consists of two parts, a threaded ring and an adjustable disk. If the disk is loose, that might cause a small voltage drop.

You could adjust the position of the bottom disk all the way in to make the spring compress a bit more in 18350 mode, OR tighten it all the way out and see what works best.

When using the Roller without the spring, the disc's position will not make a big difference.

Thanks for the reply I will do all the above later on this week and post back. But now I am happy to know that the drop is something secondary to the roller and completely manageable. Its nice when everything makes sense :)

Check out the reply above! Since you are not using the spring, you can experiment with the position of the bottom disk to see if it makes any difference. If the disk threading is rough at the far-out end, adjusting it a bit inwards might make a difference. You'll need a hex key! Does it make sense?

About the telescopic tube - in theory, when it's fully extended, the voltage drop on it will be at its max. When fully in, the voltage drop on it will be minimized, since resistance is a function of conductor length and surface area. The difference is small, but measurable. However, the influence of the threads / connections on voltage drop is far higher than the bulk resistance of the material.

Thanks that makes sense .

Seriously guys: Atmizoo is awesome!
Had some troubles with my bank, so decided to go for a pre-paid Visa instead.
Atmizoo just sent my order and trusted me to pay.
Already got it in and now i wish i had ordered my 18500's sooner, haha (dangit).
It looks and feels so nice! The Ice Matté finish is awesome.
Thanks for the awesome sales experience.
Atmizoo ROCKS!

Looks great, much nicer in hand. :) Aren't they comfy! I love my Roller, especially in the 18350 size, but the 18650 like you're showing is right sweet too. It's quite a bonus when one mod is perfect in size, weight, & balance in every batt size.
I forgot about their Atty they put on the back burner for now. I'd love to see it too.

Sent Roller to atmizoo for the problem I had with the kick extension tube not fitting correctly. I must say, amazing service. got the item back in 2 days (I live in Athens) with the extension tube replaced. Perfect fit. PLUS they upgraded my assembly since they have it there and cleaned the internals as well as brushed the springs. Again amazing service. Thanks atmizoo, Thank you Manos :)

I'm just dying to see what they come up with RBAtty-wise. :p

This is a better, clearer shot. Actually it's smaller than i expected. I like it. :D

Thinking of getting the Roller IM finish too (waiting anxiously for the email reply earlier :)). Its really a nice piece. Just one question, will the Ice Matte finishing wears off? I'm thinking of getting the custom. Mixing the Ice Matte with Matte. Saw it on their FB page....speechless.

We have abused some IM Rollers during the past few months on purpose - when scratched heavily...
How can anybody NOT love these guys?!?! :D
Thanks for the joy of ordering.
For how great the product feels and handles.
And for your dedicated time and effort to make your product a total package of awesomeness and wins and unicorns and rainbows. :pervy:

1) Clean the spring with a de-oxidant or remove it altogether.
What are the ups and downs of removing the spring?
And how much do you need to watch not screwing the tube too tight...
I just put in brand spanking new 18500 AW IMR's, but am not getting the feeling of a 4.18V vape.
I know, there's always loss, i read the article (thanks a bunch for that btw!), so i'm thinking of removing the spring.
I haven't measured yet, so i'll see what comes out and i can adjust my coils accordingly (vaping a 2.4Ω atm).

It looks and behaves very much like the finish of the unibody Macbook Pros...
*puts his IM Roller on his macbook*
Well I'll be a monkey's uncle! :D
(awww, my sister just gave birth, so somewhere it's true)

Yes! It's so comfy! I have it in 18500 mode right now. Totally love it.

Although i had a Phoenix DRA in, but the standard wick is too short (and tastes horrid), so i put a blue Stardust on with a 510-ego adapter.
Seriously: i cried and died a little inside. That should NEVER be a combination.
But yes, that's the downside to switching to a mod within a month and a half after you start vaping.
