I tried for 45 minutes to do it the way i seen in a few videos, putting the coil in the cup, then putting it all down into the base, and every time i would bend the legs.I finally decided to put the cup in first, line up the holes, and then put the coil in,and got it that way after 2 tries,so for me,that seems to be the easiest way, even now though i hope this coil lasts as long as the ones in my orchids because i wont be looking forward to doing that again haha.At least i can say i got the wicking right on the first try,so at least something worked in my favor on the first day with this haha.

Aww :( .. you should have seen my written review for it, a lot easier to follow than watching a video. That's how I snagged my girl roxynoodle, and now she has way exceeded me in Rose love

But at least you got it done in the end, its a fine atty indeed, albeit a little more work. ;-)

Congrats on the successful build b.m., it's a great topper.

The vertical is much easier to build and the flavor and vapor production is insane. That being said the first horizontal build took me at least 45 minutes long, the vertical tonight 10 minutes using 27ga.

No, actually I already had one and was in love before your review, lol! It was a very good review though, and I did read it. You did the same build I still use in my first one, which is a great build for flavor. I learned it from a UK forum though as I had one of the first clones, and all the info mostly came from UK owners.

Look back through this thread and someone said,"I think its been cloned.". And my first was, "Yes, I have one sitting in front of me, and I'm reading your thread."

My second one has been my experiment atty. I change the build whenever I get the urge to try something else. Really, every build in the Rose seems to work well.

I just got my tobeco clone today, and i gotta say what a pain in the *** to get the coil in these things haha.It took me almost an hour to finally get both legs into those tiny holes. After taking the first draw,i realized all the cussing and thoughts of throwing it out the window were worth the aggrivation though,as this is a really nice attie.I've gotten used to the airy draw of my orchids,so i was a bit concerned when i read that these have a fairly tight draw, but again i was surprised,it's actually a pretty good amount of airflow, definitely better than a kayfun.I had originally bought this with the thought that if i didn't like it,i could easily get double what i paid for it back,i grabbed this thing brand new for $12 with shipping included, but now after using it,it's definitely gonna stick with me haha. Now i have the aqua v2 on the way,so these 2 can sit side by side in my daily rotation.
Aqua v2 for the win. I use it more than my rose. Pretty easy build. I've built it twice so far. No issues at all

Got my $8 Rose V2 from VaporBank yesterday, looked great until I got into the base, there I found some burrs inside the positive post hole and on the little post itself. Dug my good multimeter out and found it was indeed shorting out. Got out my tiny machinist files, took the burrs off everything and now there is enough room between the post and base body and the short is gone. There were some other burrs here and there that I touched up, only issue now is threading the lower tank section onto the base is still gritty. I have some super fine lapping compound that will fix that and make the treading like butter. The rest of the fit and finish is amazing, the upper tank sections fit is perfect, unless you look close you wouldn't see the seams and think it was one solid piece. Also pretty good fit with the plastic tank as well. I'll get the threads lapped tonight then strip it down and into the ultra sonic cleaner to clean her up. I've got to do my research and learn how to build it, looking forward to give this one a try!

Oh, there was one other issue, the rod they sent with it used to tighten or loosen the base is way to small for the hole they drilled in it, the hole measures .176 and the rod is .156 I'll just use a #16 drill bit from one of sets I have but if someone who didn't have these you'd end up deforming that hole with the rod being so much smaller. I guess these issues are why they were dumping these for $8, but once addressed it was a hell of a deal! :)

I haven't been able to put mine down since I got it! I was shocked that it produced better flavor than the Rose V2  and wick, holly shiznit! I can crank this thing up to 50 watts no problem and the wicking keeps up :) next up is the Goblin RTA. can it beat the Aqua V2? we will see ;)

I was surprised by how little juice it uses. I'm running dual coil .9 ohm 20 watts and the tank last me a little over a day

I bought 5 of those when they had em at 4.99 each. I sold 2 for $26 ea. Then I went back and bought the last one at 7.99 (in the mail now) so now I have 4 basically free. I may sell 1 or 2 more or just use them for my rotation if I like these.
My free (bought 4 for $35 ea. and sold 3 for 85 ea.) Innokin itaste 134 won't handle less than 1.2 ohms so I have a question since I've never built a coil. I don't know the size of the wire that comes with the Rose clone or the wick material. Can I do a single coil build with this wire and if so how many wraps or what length do I need to get at least 1.2 ohms. After I build it I will check it in my VV3. Thanks if you can help.

The wire that came with mine was crap. 11 or 12 around 2mm should keep you in the range you want. Hard to say with out knowing the gauge

Yours might be better than the crap I had. Vape safe let us know if you have questions

OK question. 12 wraps around a Q-tip got me 3.1 ohms. Looks good and works (surprised on first build), so how many wraps you think I need to get 1.2 to 1.8?
Couldn't get an image to upload

I'm thinking 6-8 wraps would get you in that ballpark.3.1 is a pretty high reading, but it may be ok.

Thanks. It wasn't very hard to build but I wanted to get somebody's opinion before I modified it or did another one. I figured 8 would probably do it but I'm gonna do 6 shootin for the low side. As long as I get at least 1.2 it will work on my VW Mods.

You must have got lucky then,i've been using rebuildable tanks for the last 6 months,so i know how to build them pretty easily now,but this rose kicked my .... haha. Now that i got it built,i hope this coil lasts a while in it because i dont look forward to doing again anytime soon haha.I gotta say though,if i knew how nice these are,i would have grabbed 2 when i bought this one from vapor bank.

Since you are just starting out with rebuildables, eventually you will want to get a spool or two of kanthal.I highly reccomend lightning vapes on ebay.He has very good prices on 100' spools and alot of times he will put them on sale for half off.I picked up a spool of 30 gauge a while back for like $3.50,regular price is like $6.35 or something like that.

Thanks for the info B.M. It did take about 15 minutes, so from what I heard, I guess I got lucky. Hardest part was findin the center of the holes. I put my cup in first and pulled the wick through the coil then stuck it in and trimmed it. Thought it might leak but it didn't ....yet.
