Thanks dutch. Posting the write up took much longer than the builds, but after everything snapped into my mind and clicked on how to get the most out of all the features the Rose had, I wanted to document everything best I could. The hardest part was choosing the appropriate photos to best illustrate my builds. The first one was built in my experimental concept mode, took a few pics of coil, but that's it.

When it proved to be Quite Excellent, I allowed time for a photo opp. on the single horizontal build. I've learned so much from others on this forum, that just wanted to pay some back. Come a long way from the V2's e-cig, I started with a year ago, to where I'm at today, largely due to the ecf members.

On both, I wicked the coil before mounting it. other wise I'm sure I would of thrown and broken something in frustration. lol. With wick in place and tails folded up, made for an easy insertion.

I've been under Rose's spell for exactly a week now. Though it took a day or two of courting to understand each other, I feel we were destined to be. The twins and I have found True Vapiness.

Yes, the wicking before moun ting is what Im certainly gonna try next time. Have an idea for X/shaped coils and Im gonna use no-resistance wire for the legs. My problem is that i have overdone it the last couple of weeks and now i have the new atty from GUS, the Estia and the in´ax hybrid from Athea to get used to. Them together with the Rose and all my free time I seem to be making new builds. And allthough the Rose sticks out, the other two are really good as well. Ill try to hold myself back a bit next weeks. Thatll make my partner happy!!! and my bank account!
Like you said, you certainly came a long way, looking at these builds. Thats a thing with the Rose, I dont believe its the best device to start your RBA carreer with. If you have any problems setting up a KF for example, youre gonna have a hard time with Rose, But once you get this one down, vape heaven awaits you

Yeah, rba's like the Rose or Aqua, are not a good choice for first timers. They do require a meticulous touch for sure. To be appreciated one must become the build, and be one with the rba. I look at rba's like a block of ice, inside each is a build waiting to be discovered. It is up to the carver to find it.

That should be my signature haha. A very samurai look at rebuilding.

Question for you advanced coil builders. After a few days of using my Rose v2 with a single coil, I'd like to try my hand again at using a dual coil setup. It was problematic before on my Provari, because it simply wasn't heating the coils fast enough at maximum voltage. However, I just got my Dicodes Dani in (which can go up to 20 watts), and I'd like to give dual coils another shot.

So let's assume I build a perfect dual coil setup with 1ohm resistance (2ohms per coil). I've always tended to like vaping around 11-12 watts (not sub-ohming). Theoretically, do I just set my device to 11 watts and all will be well? My experience on the Provari tells me that 11 watts on a dual coil setup might not be enough, and I need more power in order to heat the coils faster (since there is more surface area to cover in a dual coil setup). Is this typically the case? Or am I missing something.

On dual coils, especially when using twisted wire, I like them to be 0.9 ohms or less for quick heat up time. But then my single coils are dual coils, since I am using twisted wire. But yeah, tis the beauty of devices like the DNA30, don't have to worry about the ohms of the build, just crank the watts and no worries. I'm vaping 23-30 watts on both my Rose2's. Once you get your dual's set up, just crank it up to where you like it. You should be fine a 1 ohm with duals. Sure you will find your desired range. The other reason I like under .9 is then can vape with any of my mods, mech or regulated, and get a damn fine vape.

On an after note, now that I've had the same builds for a few days, the Ramie fiber is totally saturated and jc has settled down nicely, leave both open about one full turn when vaping at 23 watts, no gurgle, no dry hits, if I crank it up some more, just need to open it up a hair more to supply more juice. Really working Sweet. Broke it down after a few tanks and wick still looking nice and white. Yeah still in a state of Rose2 euphoria.

Aw crap! Just filled up with some licorice/menthol juice and noticed my clear tank section was starting to look cloudy. Sure enough, the juice just ate into the plastic like acid. Now I've got the SS tank section on and I can't see my juice level or bubbles. I'll have to email Eden mods to see if they will sell me another plastic section.

Licorice flavors are notorious for that... I think it's the anise flavoring in particular. My local B&M sells a wonderful licorice flavor that, while it lacks the anise, it does play nice with plastic tanks. Also, MBV's Absinthe flavor is listed on their tank crackers list, but my Kayfun Lite's plastic tank survived quite a few tanks of it.

lmao, that's exactly why a main requirement of all my rba's, is that they come in full metal jacket version. I mix with cinnamon in most my recipes. 2% cin will crack any plastic section almost intstantly. Can't understand why people feel the need to see their juice, taste of vape tells ya when you need filling, and I know how fast I go through juice.

Wouldn't of bought Rose if she didn't come with a full metal jacket, nor flashi, Russ., Aqua, Tai, .... tell you what, I'll trade ya 2 plas. for 1 steel. Don't even like glass tanks, because when dropped they break. IMO a tank should be built like a, well, umm, a tank. Every thing else is a bottle, not tank. lol.

Sorry, my apologies, do not mean to laugh at you, have a twisted sense of humor, made me vividly remember my first and last tank cracking. The day I swore "Never Again", haven't cracked or broke a single tank since.

Sin, I used twisted 32 gauge cause I found the 28gauge heating up too slow, even with the DNA device. I like the better throathit you tend to get with thinner wire.Downside of course is the difficult threading of the cotton. Like Dice said, better do this before mounting the coils. At 12 Watts the coils light up instantly. 23 Watts is top for me. But 20 should do fine

Unbelievably my cracked plastic tank wasn't cracked after all. After the stuff on the inside dried, it started peeling and I could see that the plastic tank underneath was not cracked. I scraped out the crud and gave it a light sanding, first dry and then wet. Now the tank is usable again, a little scarred but not broken. Sorry for the false alarm! This must be how they make licorice candy! lol:laugh:

I own both a V1 and V2, and the V2 is far easier to set up compared to the V1.
The holes on the deck are bigger and in the ceramic too, so slotting your legs into the deck is easy.
I prefer the 1.5mm airhole of the v1 tho, I have no need for 2mm on the V2.
I normally run 1.2ohm macro coil and cotton, the vape experience is second to non.
