Thanks, Dice, that's a nice looking dripper! I've seen the pictures. and wondered about it--thanks for the input.

Hey, just in case you are interested 101Vape has the Infinite Magma clone for $28. I ordered one to compare with the Authentic. Heard good things about infinite, so thought it would be worth a gamble. Supposed to be here by Friday, so will report on the appropriate threads there.

I decided on a Vicious Ant Cyclone AFC, Waiting on my box mod to arrive to build it. I did find a wonderful find on an ancient post here...and built a 1.1 ohm coil for the Rose, used Tencel to wick it. It's a rayon analogue and it comes clean, wicks clean and completely, absorbs nothing. I DIY and have a ton of flavors, so I started on my CAP Cheesecake and M&P Honeysuckle...wonderful, but got old, so I poured it out, cleaned the tanks and took a look at the coil, like new, and the Tencel was unchanged and wet. I filled it with CAP Pralines and Cream and two his later, NO TASTE from the previous flavor, just pralines and HUGE vapor and excellent taste! I won't even go back to Koh Gen cotton.

So I'm guessing, the rose2's ceramic cup won't fit.

Why wouldn't they fit? I asked them about a replacement ceramic cup for my Rose (v2) and they said a shipment of ceramics is expected by the end of the week and I can order directly from their website.

No problem, dice. I think the rose1 ceramic would fit also. The ver1 ceramic was machined and ver2 is cast but otherwise the same size I believe. Maybe people were complaining that the old cups were too tight?
I'm still wondering how the guy I got the Rose from managed to break both cups!

I was just about to order some tencel top before reading about rayon wicks. Got some celloCotton rayon rope today and I'm really impressed with its wicking performance. Seems you can't choke your coil no matter how tight you pack it. Perfect wicking material for chain vapers. I could send you some if you havent tried it yet, just PM me.

Anyone experiencing a more severe case of dry-mouth with their Rose v2 as opposed to other atomizers? My mouth gets dry WAY faster when I vape with my Rose, as opposed to my Kayfuns and Foggers. I'm not sure if it's the way I'm wicking it, or if it has something to do with the ceramic cup, but it makes me not want to use it as much as my other atties.

Yeah, tried cleaning.. that didn't work. However, I have managed to find a fix that kind of works for me.. When using the rod/stand to get the base screwed on good and tight to the collector/510 piece, that's when I get the whistle. If, however, I only screw it on by hand.. no whistle.

I think air is flowing over the edge of the plastic piece on the bottom of the base when I over tighten it. The problem with hand tightening is that it makes filling up a pain, as the only thing that wants to unscrew is the collector. :/

At least you got rid of the whistle. Guess you tried tightening or loosening the screw that holds the plastic disc in place. That screw can be tighten down a lot in mine.

I top fill my Kayfuns but with the Rose I like the ability to remove the base and keep the juice in the top. I can work on the coil any time I want.

Yeah.. I'm regretting ever messing with that disc/screw. I think taking that apart for cleaning is what started the whistle. I must not have got everything back together quite kosher.

Interestingly, taking off the AFC ring got rid of the whistle completely. I still think it has something to do with how tight that base gets to collector. Shrugs. I always kept the airflow wide open anyhow. Now it just looks funny.
