Marc - I am getting ready to do a vertical like Crazelee showed pics of. I have a 2nd Rose 2 that is just waiting for me to remove the old build. I bet it takes me an hour to set it up, but fortunately they last a couple of months (I hope).

That looks damn near perfect! Wasn't that tough was it?

Well, how's she vape?

I have a second Rose on the way and I'm going to try a 1.4 ohm 27ga, 3mm in it.

Marc - It was not tough at all. It actually seemed to seat into the deck holes easier than the horizontal coil. More to hold on to with the vertical coil as I guide it in. Probably took 20 minutes total to wind the coil, place, and wick.

Apes perfectly and the draw did open some. Not a lot, but noticeable.

Roxy, with your skills and experience - piece of cake for you!

No, it usually isn't, lol! It takes me awhile usually to get my Rose coils set up. I have huge hands for a woman. Combined with arthritis, neuropathy and Raynaud's, I find the Rose hard to work with. But, I love them so much, I'm adding a third :)

Only twice I've gotten my coil(s) in on the first try. The funny part is one of those times was my first build.

It took me 20 minutes on vertical coil #1.

Thankfully we don't have to change the coils too often. I keep my legs a bit long on the coil so the bottom of the coil sits just under the top edge of the cup. Makes for easier wicking and a bit more room for the airflow around it. Still a nice warm vape. but getting the legs seated on these can be tricky. First time took me 4 coils cause I kept bending the legs under. Now I keep the grub screws all the way removed so I can see the legs in there to verify.

I've grown to hate my rose. I'm lucky if my coil last a day. I'll build it. DNA clone fires it good. I build between 1.4 and 1.6. Vapes great for a day. Then day 2 it messes up. Vape gets week I'll look at the display. Ohms says 3.0 then next fire it reads checks atomizer. I'll take it apart everything is tight. Doesn't fire again until I rebuild it. I have a aqua v2 on its way
