One side of the stand has an opening that fits the drip tip. So put it on the stand upside down with your dt in that hole. Then just unscrew the base and set it aside. The atty will stay on the stand without leaking. Trust me, I leave it there full of juice all the time when I'm washing the base and rewicking and/or recoiling. I usually wipe out the inside of the chimney while its upside down in the stand, too, as I like icky juices. Fill her up, do whatever to the base. Then just screw it back on. I've never had the jc move. I have 3 Roses and got my first over 9 months ago
Now mind you, I was a total newb to RTAs when I got my first so it never ocurred to me to unscrew the jc first, lol! I just stuck it in the stand and unscrewed the base, and have done it ever since.
