I have been digging my v2 but I think I see the issue as sometimes my ohm reader has a hard time with it if I don't screw it on just right

Weird issue, isn't it? But makes sense given that there is some kind of spring in there. Any firing problems?

Wondering if others with a Russian 91% V1 (adjustable center pin) find that the adjustable pin is very loose. I'm not having any contact issues, but do wish that adjustable screw was not so loose, so it might stay in position better.

Also, I found that if I screw it on to my provari too tightly, it winds the screw all the way up into the shaft and ends up moving the block- not good.

Got my LE SOV top cap today! The only thing "Russian" on this thing is the base/atty

My Russian arrived today after nearly a month on pre-order: seems like i got a different version. Removable drip tip, but center pin is just like v1. One screw to the deck and an adjustable center pin that screws on the first mentioned one. I really like it this way, instead of sping loaded pin. Now, is kebo replacing the spring loaded pins? Other than that: this is by far the best rebuildable i have ever tried. Best 76 euros i ever paid for vaping gear.

I purchased one of these recently and I am just now learning about rba's. I set off to build my first coil the night after I got it. After about 2 failures and 1 sort of functional coil I have some serious questions about the russian.

When I filled it from screw on the bottom of the tank, the juice literally just flowed out of the top. Am I an idiot and not supposed to be holding it upside down to do this? Just thought I'd ask before I mess with it some more.

I put all of the peices back in the box and returned to it the next day and I see probably 10-15 little scratches all over the tank. The only place it had been was in the box with the other pieces. Is the finish really that soft? I kind of expected more for $100... Anyone know where to get replacement parts for the tank area that are better?

Thanks!

I'm not terribly nice to my gear and my authentic R91 doesn't get scratched up.
Where did you get yours from?

Leakage like you describe sounds like the o-ring that seals the chimney is missing.
It fits into the top section and the skinny section of the chimney fits into it when you screw it all together.

EDIT - I found a picture of where the o-ring seals top to chimney :)

from Kayfun Lite & Russian 91% Style Atomizer | Realvapes.co.uk

"Setup Pointers

In order to reach the deck to build coils, remove the drip tip, the top tank part, the middle tank part and the chimney along with the bottom cylinder where the chimney screws on. Once you build a decent set of coils on them as per recommendation above under ‘notes’ or you can watch any good youtube videos on them to learn coiling on a Kayfun or Russian Aomizer. Once you have built a decent coil screw all the parts back on. Make sure there is a rubber o-ring inside the top cap of the tank.

This o-ring will stop juice from leaking around the top part of the chimney as you will be turning the atty upside down to fill the juice by removing the screw at the bottom. There should be spare o-rings at the bottom of the gift box that comes with it.

Other than that – just build a decent coil on them and you’ll thank us for it!"

That picture actually is really terrible at showing off the scratches. If I rotate it the light will hit parts where the finish has scratched off and show shiny lines of metal showing. I bought mine from MBV

I'm going to look into the o-ring in a bit here. Thanks!

edit: the only reason i posted it is you can barely see small scratches at the bottom because im holding it in a way the light is reflecting off of them.

I'm not the best person to answer about scratchability actually. I've been using an M tank since I got my R91.

Let them know in live chat at MBV's website tomorrow. They have stellar customer service.
