I got mine the other day from HiTekVapor. I was browsing the internet late one night and see they had them in stock ( not a preorder ) though it might have been a typo but it wasnt!

I have not built it yet, Just gave it a bath.. Quality is awesome! and i am so tempted to build it but part of me is wanting to try and trade it for a SQuape.. Seeing as how i have 2 KFL's already, Do i need a 3rd? lol..

Ever since i got my 1st KFL last month, I have not once used any of my SS mesh RBAs, They are collecting dust! lol

Kidneypuncher orders have shipped and should arrive wednesday, according to email yesterday, and will be shipped out to us as they arrive.

Has anyone sent out an email to VT to see if there orders shipped out already??Man,that sucks having to wait that long for the 91%.

I really can't believe kidney's orders are coming out before Vaporteks. Am I wrong here? VT was up first right, with the 60 something price tag? Guess its possible VT orders were so massive it put us in the back of the line.

Not sure who went first but i recieved an email yesterday saying they shipped and would arrive there by wednesday, and ship to us as they came in,or as soon as they arrived(one of those two)??

I thought KP was the last on the pre-order too but as you said, maybe the massive orders from VT put them at the back??

Your new 91% has adjustable airflow as your KFL's do not.Why not keep it and sell off a KFL???

As an owner of both, I still feel the build quality of the KFL is better. Whilst the R91 has adjustable airflow, the air hole makes an annoying noise compared to the KFL and I'm actually struggling to find the right setting for the airflow on it...

Also, I hate the finish on the R91 - I'm going to have to try and polish it up and then give it a brushed look to match my Nemesis.

Or, let me pay you and you send it my way, the R91 ;)

I gather you're liking your Russian ;)

Yes Nelson, it is cool. Besides, it added some variety to my favourite collection of Attys, the Kayfuns.

The only problem with the R-91 is its price:( I cannot justify paying same (in some cases more:blink:) for a clone, however better it might be from the original. Most are selling it for $99, which is just too much IMHO. The pre-orders of few months back were priced right, but alas - they are in a limbo unfortunately!

So, I admittedly have not read through this entire thread...so excuse me if this has been brought up. I also do not spend as much time around these parts I used too. Anyway...

The current rumor/not so much rumor, depending on who you talk to, is that the one of the guys that developed the Russian/91% was half of the team that developed the Kayfun line for svoemesto. So, when it comes down to it these are not so much clones...kinda sorta.... The EHPRO one, now that is a clone.

Anyway...something that has been going around the interwebs...you know, the back alleys, not Main St. like here at good ole ECF ;) Food for thought :)

I have not seen that rumor substantiated in any way, so i would say it is safe to assume that the Russian was made by OCD Chinese Engineers who had a Kayfun and a Kayfun Lite in their hands. The fact that the parts are interchangeable does make this a 'clone' Just because it's comparable in quality does not change that. Having said that, I ordered a Russian 91 and am anticipating its arrival.

It seems to me that the Russian was a 1:1 clone of the Kayfun 3.1; but the Russian 91% is a fork of the design of the Russian, just like the Kayfun Lite is a variation on the Kayfun 3.1. Clues to this are that the variable air draw was kept, as was the 510 drip tip collar insert. If the 91% were a true clone of the Lite but with an added air flow control, I'd think the 91% would have used the Lite's stock drip tip design. There'd be fewer parts to machine, right?

Instead, it seems like the designers of the 91% simply had the same idea as SvoeMesto about getting rid of the overflow well at nearly the same time. I know the Lite was released well before the 91%, but isn't it possible that the full-size Russian was undergoing its design revision planning to become the 91% before the Lite hit the market?

It's all academic, though. I'm in for the 91% regardless of whether it was a logical progression or an outright copy.
