Supposedly, the >real< R91 V2 (not the misnamed clone) will be 316SS (as opposed to 304SS). The R91 V1 does not have an o-ring on the fill screw like the KFL+ and I have never had it leak.

Is that the only real upgrade to V2? Also was wondering I know with the KFL people often complained that there fill hole screw would leak some (not a lot) are any of you original russian v1 owners experiencing any leakage from the fill hole screw?
I was a little concerned about my Russian 91% leaking since my KFL+ has an o-ring on the fill hole screw, but I have not noticed anything yet (fingers crossed).
Finally got my R91 in. Came 91% un assembled. Got to clean it and build it now that I am home. Here goes nothing

I have had mine for a couple of months now and have not had ANY,leaking issues at all.I have had no problems with the fill screw either.It has been pure vape heaven with my R91.

From what I have heard..... The upgrades to the real Russian is 316 SS instead of 304, better O-rings, and possibly a silicone positive block insulator instead of the hard nylon one.

Anyone having issues with high vg content? I got some swagger juice from c2cvaping yesterday it's nearly 100% vg. Loaded it up and I can't get the full flavor. When I take a draw there is no sweetness on the tongue and feels like it's going to burn but it doesn't, just very little flavor. I get a vg flavor rather then the juice. Hard to explain. Do I use even less cotton for high vg juice? I tried less cotton and the results were the same. Adjusted the flow control to bring more juice In and same result. Any of my 50/50 work flawlessly. I am just chalking this up to the juice. Kinda bummed because it got such high recommendation but it has no flavor. Can't use it on anything else because of the high vg content, coils will just burn. Don't have a atty to test either.
what drip tips are you guys using on your russian 91%? what drip tips look good with a satin finish?
I use the Stiletto Gun Metal finish,Stiletto Black,and Stiletto Silver.All three of these look good on the Satin finish R91.I also have a snub nosed SS that looks good on it.
I don't think there is any major changes anyways.. you probably can't tell.. i think the only difference is that they used a higher grade SS.
I don't anything about a russian 91% but my old KFL would leak a little juice out the fill screws and the design / concept seems the same so i was asking, but if it doesn't leak at all i'll be a happy camper.. a little juice = sticky atomizer / base and sometimes it's very hard to unscrew
I run a tank of Bobbas Bounty and it wicks fine if you 1)prime the wick extremely well.2)After your first pull,put your finger over the airhole to block it completely,then take a hard sharp pull and remove
your finger from the airhole as you take the pull.This will pull the liquid into the chamber and keep it wicking.If the wick starts getting dry just repeat step 2 again.
I *always* have, and have had, wicking issues in bottom coil tanks with my juice (DIY, high VG, usually I thin the VG anywhere from 10-23%). Part of it is because I take very long drags at high watts (15+), at a fast clip.
My experience with this style of system, even when the juice is thin, is that flavor is never really "saturated" because at best wicking (when you vape like *me*) is teetering on the edge of dry. VG makes it worse. And this is all in comparison to dripping/squonking as a bench mark. Loads of people will tell you they 'have no issues,' but keep in mind its all about how you're vaping and what's in the chamber, and most importantly, what you expect and are used to.
However, with the vertical coil and wick wrapped around the outer diameter of the coil, somehow these stops being an issue. If you're that into VG juices you may want to try this.

Thanks for the tip Cyrus! I am a heavy VG DIY'er and was running into some of the same issues. Just built my first vertical coil with cotton on the outside. I will give it a few days and see as my original normal MC on the R91 was solid black and caked in just 2 days of use
can someone clear up what the Russian 91% is? The Russian 91% isn't a chinese clone of the KFL right? Does anyone know there webpage?
Yes the Russian 91% is a 1:1 clone of the KFL,made by UCT,Upper Class Technology.Every piece of the 91% is interchangeable with the KFL and the 91% is the only RTA I use now because of the flavor and vape it produces.The same is true about the Russian,which is a 1:1 clone of the Kayfun and interchangeable with every part.
