This is just for fun. People to post what kind of abuse they have put their SB, BSB, and BB through and still see it working.

I've read a lot of people explaining their accidents and finding the device to work fine after, so I'm curious to see the results of this thread.

Honestly, I'm expecting someone to post that their SB was run over by a steam roller and is still in 100% working order.

I've dropped mine a few times, and there's no marks, dents, scratches, or chips. After two months, the thing looks brand new.

I just dropped it a few times outside on the Concrete....I mean it has a few dents and a bunch of scratches.....But it keeps on working without a problem...I did resurface/re-polish it twice.... But the dents are beyond repair.....Now that was my SB

My BSB is in perfect Condition....Maybe Cause i only use it on special Occasions.....Dunno....But not even a scarf mark on that one....

Been thinking about getting another SB as my work horse PV Cause the price is good....But kind of holding out for the OMeGa....Dunno maybe I'll get another SB....
Contemplating it though.....

I was tempted to get a BB to keep my BSB company... Then I decided to wait until the omega... The BB will be a birthday present to myself come June I think...

I'm wondering how well the SB would do being dropped off a building.... I doubt anyone is willing to try it, but I'm almost thinking it would come out okay. The steam roller is a bit extreme, but a building maaaaybe won't kill it.

I would get another one if they came out with anodized aluminum or the nickel plating like a read about a while back.
I had hoped that the nickel plating would hold up, but on advice from the company that would do it said it would be just as fragile as the polished. I still plan on the anodizing, need to see how the finish turns out on our CNC.

Mine arrives today but it will be daily subjected to extreme heat and coarse material. I do refractory work on steel making vessels (furnaces, degasser, ladles, etc.) This heat is no joke, I have had 1 cell phone battery *pop* in the pocket while working, while on another cell phone the lcd screen melted a bit. When I was still hooked on analogs I had to buy a zippo because the bic lighters and other variants using butane would get too hot and build up extreme pressure and explode, a very startling experience!

My standard 510's survive the experience but they dont work right in that environment, giving whispy tendrils of vapor which aren't satisfying at all. Sometimes I just get a harsh hit and exhale no vapor at all.

I'm thinking the BSB will fair much better than the 510 given that its basically a giant heat sink with it being made of aluminum and all. I'll report back in a couple days with (hopefully) glorious tales of a BSB takin the lickin and keepin on tickin!

That's great; I actually was more interested in the anodized aluminum anyway.

I use the really thin cut down tennis grip on mine, it works perfectly. I took it off today cause it's getting a little stretched out, (time to replace it after a couple months) and my sb looks BRAND NEW. Not a scratch on it. I've taken it on the paintball field, and I wear it in a pouch on my belt everyday while I work in a restaurant. It's mint.

I got my dad to use one on his BSB, and he drops it alot, and his finish looks perfect as well..

If your concerned just buy a $3 tennis grip. To me it was $3 well spent.....

I really took my time posting up how my BSB survived at work. Aside from some missing paint (refractory is very abrasive in the pocket I guess) its holding up very well. As I had hoped, the nice solid aluminum body of the BSB seems to soak most of the heat so my battery isn't going into protection mode constantly like the 510 did. No more wispy and unsatisfying hits while at work for me!

I can't really use carts as the heat seems to make them not wick well, like the top of the cart gets thick and there will be standing juice under it. No problem though, I bought one of the drip tips these fellas sell and give her a couple drops now and then.

A tagline for you alt smoke guys/gals: The BSB is mill rat tested, mill rat approved!
