When you say send it in, it costs money to ship it back, so that's really not a free replacement. Time waiting to get the new one is also a hidden cost. If you know a vendor who provides prepaid return labels for faulty Smoktech products, please do share.

VAPENJ350, Did you buy both of your devices??? I thought it was already established a while back in another thread that you are shilling in some unnamed way for VMAX. Mabe I'm mistaking you for somebody else. Sorry if I'm wrong.

OK, things are getting a little bit "heated" right now; understandably so, but we can't respond to things, no matter how unkind they are (like disrespecting VAPNJ350's honesty and integrity by calling him a "shill"), in ways that themselves might violate forum rules.

The best thing might be for N rustica to apologize for that, and perhaps continue posting in this thread in a way that doesn't violate the rules. I'll email him and give him a clean shot at that, failing which I'll report his post, which I see as the "proximate cause" of the trouble brewing in this thread.

seriously though, we don't need another vmax thread closed, argue civially will ya?
Sorry about that VICTORY! It's just that TWO of the VMAX threads that got CLOSED were the ones I created! I am just tired of people coming in the VMAX threads starting arguments and having a competition between PV devices! It really justs needs to STOP!

So lets see about this, he gets free product for review purposes and some how he is a shill????? What does that make PBusardo? He gave the VMax a thumbs up overall in his review, but yet you are not mentioning his name in here anywhere about getting a free devise to review!!!!! Sounds like someone is envious of others and wishes they could get something for free..... Maybe if you were smart enough to do a review you could get something for free also..... So you've pretty much gave your opinion and decided the VMax is not for you.... That's ok.... Now go back to your fanboy thread in the other part of the forum.....

Depending on where he got his VMAX, the vendor usually will send out a NEW replacement with a RETURN label for the defective one!

I asked if you know a vendor? If you do, there is no ECF rule saying you can't name them here. Is it a secret?

I'm not familiar with any VMAX vendor or for that matter any pv or ecig vendor that does this. Perhaps a manufacturer or two, but not any vendors. The businesses that I know of which provide prepaid return labels for defective products will email them for you to print out, sending them with a replacement isn't necessary and costs more to do.

VAPNJ350, I'm glad I stumbled back to this thread as I had no idea until now of your particular qualifications and expertise, having just read the most recent posts. I and others like me have thanked you repeatedly for your valuable input, particularly in the other vmax owners thread. Recently I quoted one of your recent posts to another friend stating 'this guy sure does sound like he knows what he's talking about.' Again, I had no idea until now that even this was an understatement.

The point I'm trying to make is that I, and others like me who actually post their opinions, truly welcome and value your efforts to help our community in the way you do. I strongly believe that there are many others reading your posts who mostly remain in lurke mode, but still feel this way too. Don't let the trolls and other generally unpleasant people spoil it for the rest of us. Keep doing what you're doing and know undeniably that it's appreciated by more people than you probably realize.

Here's to keeping your wick wet and your button fully functional.

Yes, I do know of a vendor who actually does send a replacement along with a return label...All About Vapor here in Texas!

...................WOW............... Thats all I can think to say...............WOW...............Thanks everyone for the positive support. Apologies are not needed, I learned, and accepeted, you can't please everyone and you'll die a short death trying. Thats the 1st product EVER sent to me to test and check out,and I DON'T do you tube reviews. And I did buy the 2nd VMAX. If I only helped 1 person with the posts I made about the VMAX and helped anyone acheive a more pleasant vaping experience then I guess it's only natural atleast 1 person have something negative to say about it,....it is ecf after all. He's entitled to his opinion of me and others for that matter, but it doesn't mean it's worth a grain of salt. By all the mis-spellings and double-wording I can't really expect too much from some. Take care everyone, from here out let's maybe try to keep it above the belt and pleasant and maybe try to ignore ignorance......please, for the sake of the thread. Lifes too short to sweat the small stuff.

The rude, snide comments...the smearing speculations... Everyone having to put their two cents in...

Stop...or I will close this thread too.

If a post is disruptive, report it with the triangle and carry on...do NOT respond to it...it makes you part of the disruption.

Everytime I pull up one of these threads for info and updates I find a brawl lol Its OK, I'm a new yorker and used to it

So are there different versions of this thing now? I've heard of 1.1, 1.2? wth is going on ? lol

The first run seems to be having some switch issues if you run low resistance on it. The new version, has fixed the problems. However, I still wouldn't run a dcc on it. Motherboards can be a little picky and blow.

Amen. Reading these threads is like telling a Chevy fan that Ford is better or a Ford fan that Chevy is better. For God sakes, grow up people!

Also wanted to add that I own both the VMax and the ProVari and I'm not going to compare the 2. I like both PV's for different reasons. Both are well made and worth the money.

Sometimes I wonder .....If we took just half the time and energy we do bickering, fighting among each other and put all the emotion and energy into fighting the FDA, public vaping, vaping indoors, etc..... We would have the FDA (and any other anti-vaping groups or agencies) running in every other direction BUT OURS !! None of them would want to come near our rights to vape. We would be vaping anywhere and everywhere we please in EVERY STATE. Unfortunately it will probably never happen, even with the basic foundation of us all having atleast 1 common goal at one time (to quit smoking) and now the same passionate dedication to vape, and now that I think about it we have 1 more common denominator among us....from all the people I've met at vape meets,Vapestock 2011, Vapefest, etc.... it seems to me we all in some way or another want to convert smokers and help new vapers anyway we can, to me that's kinda what makes us very different and a very special community. So why must we make EVERYTHING A P!SS!*%G CONTEST ? Is pride our biggest issue as diverse individuals ?..... Have we forgotten what the word humble means in todays society, do we even care if we have ???

Just something to think about.......take care everyone ...........................J

Has the newer version sorted out the accuracy of voltage display vs. actual voltage ?

:hubba:psst john, you can't link to other forums, especially not co-ops, might wanna edit your post to make it more classy:hubba:

Thanks, I really do appreciate that - really, I do - but I'm just gonna leave it for now. It's simply too interesting, and the fact that it's co-op related is just incidental. If need be, it could always be deleted by anyone who sees fit to do that, maybe after viewing and fully appreciating its contents. I'd sure hate to see it "deleted unread".

It's really pretty riveting, and eye-opening. And as I said, it really gives one a much greater appreciation for this forum, so it's got that goin' for it, which is nice.
