I've read this on several thread and at some resellers web sites, they say the atomizer may go into self-cleaning mode.

This isn't possible there are no components in the atomizer that can tell the battery to turn on, so please don’t insult our intelligence.

What I have noticed is when the battery is almost discharged right before it starts blinking, it will turn on all by itself.

So tell us that the juice maybe has dripped into the battery and we should clean it out, some people may believe that. Personally I think this is designed into the battery.

Since this happens to me all the time (yeah I’ve been vapin for a week now, lol) I’m ready for it most of the time, but tonight I wasn’t I picked up my 901 and it was really really hot, I tried to take a puff and blinky blinky battery low.

Most of the time I’d be hitting it and I’d still hear it vapin after I let the button go so I’d unscrew it, sometimes I’d test the battery with my tongue and yeah it was on, again this only seems to happens when the battery is almost ready to blink (at least that is what I have experienced).

This product is the best thing since sliced bread, maybe even better!!!

I'm not sure what it is, but my KR8 will sometimes turn itself on randomly as well. It's at all levels of battery charge, with all levels of cart fullness, and often when it's just sitting on my desk. So I'm not sure what actually triggers it.

I received these last Saturday and we all love them got 5 starter sets some extra batteries and atty's for my wife, 3 kids(all over 23) and me...I've been smoking around 2 to 5 analogs a day, my oldest hasn't had a .... in 2 days.

So this is awesome!!

how long have you been vaping Justfolly and how long till you stoped analogs?

I had a similar issue with my 510 a while back and posted a thread about it (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...mic-should-i-trash.html?highlight=atty+atomic) I have had it happen occaisionally since. It seems to occur randomly regardless of charge on the battery. I have, personally come to the conclusion that sometime the batt's just "stick". I try to wipe mine down regularly with an alcohol wipe to remove any oils from my fingers or residue from e-juice etc. Seems to have decreased how often it occurs. Your model may be different but try cleaning the outside occaisionally and see if you notice any difference.

Thanks good tip...I do clean it with a moist paper towel...I plan on either building my own AA mod or buying one...I really like the Protege but it seem to have some sort of button issues...the mod I have in mind would be based off of the Protege....have a look at my Cart mod "My First Cart Mod for the 901" (I don't have enough posts to link to it so you'll have to look it up) really does work great!

I had this happen on a 510 L2. The battery stuck. I figured it was defective and sent it back to the supplier. I heard others had the same problem with the 510 L2.

I don't need an atty sticking and staying on any time I use it, especially when I could have walked off after taking that puff. Luckily, I had it standing up in a glass at the time, so no damage was done.

I had just taken a puff and put it down. A few seconds later it suddenly started smoking and I heard the sizzling and realized it hadn't shut off after I had taken a puff. The LED was NOT lit to show it had stayed on.

So I figured the button must have stuck. I have never had it happen with an original 510. I don't want an atty that has a button that sticks. It seems dangerous to me. What if I had left the room? What if I had laid it down next to a papertowel or magazine?

You would have to be absolutely SURE it shuts down after every puff you take. I like my home. I don't really feel like burning it down. ;)

Added: I wasn't able to discern 2 LED's on my 510 L2 either. Other than the larger bridge inside the atty, the whole ecig appeared to be the same as an original 510 to me. I knew, however, that it was a 510 L2 because that was what I had purchased (thinking at the time it was just a newer model of the original 510).

I’m a long time analog smoker and have been vaping for a week now. I have 3 batteries one is always in the charger one is always ready and one is attached to the atomizer and cart I’m vaping. I use 3 batteries and 3 ml’s of ejuice a day.

This issue happens to me A LOT most of the time I catch it and just unscrew the battery and test it with my tongue, press the button and test it again most of the time it’s still on, so I don’t think it’s a button issue, I just wait 10 or so seconds and everything is fine.

My question to those who use mods is. Do you have the same problem?

So I think I will be unscrewing the battery before bedtime and when not in use for any length of time!

Have a look at my first mod it works great My First Cart Mod for the 901

This is a lot better the analogs!!!!

I was super paranoid about this issue for a while too-felt sure my PV would "blow up" or catch on fire or something. After exteriencing the same issue a number of times now I just have gotten into the habit of holding my PV in my hand for about 30 seconds before I put it down anywhere. And I ALWAYS pick up/check my PV for any "heat" before I go to bed (especially since it's usually on the pillow next to me!!!!!!8-o;))

Unless I'm mistaken, it's not the atomiser--it's the battery. If the battery is set to cleaning mode after 1000 puffs, then you can puff an old atomiser 999 times, put on a fresh one, and the battery will go into cleaning mode on a brand new atomiser.

I've got 2 510 L2 batteries it says (Manufactured by: DSE's SLB???????) they both stick, I just push the button again and they kick off, I only use them when my joye 510's not charged and keep a hand on them. I just hit the button again and they shut off but they do it all the time.....also the attys are very weak, they're replacing them with a joye 510.

Lesson learned, pay a few bucks more and get the real thing....

Use CAUTION if you have a L2 Battery.......

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

The KR-808 does have a “Cleaning mode” it counts to 1500 (Number is given by the manual) then goes into “cleaning mode” where it comes on by itself and counts to 6.

I look at it this way. It counts to 1500 then it tries to kill itself.

I have heard of other models that did this too.

OK, now that makes sense! Can this be turned off?

I don't know about the 510 but I can tell you the M401s by Smoores "cleans" at the second drag on a new battery. I have automatic batteries and not the manuals. Maybe it's the battery. Maybe it's the atomizer. But the atomizer does heat up and you hear a "sizzle" kind of sound from the atomizer. All my M series are made by Smoores and they all do it.

I guess the 999 pushes on a battery button then it goes into clean mode makes sense, that would be about 3 packs of cigarettes.

Since I rotate 3 batteries I guess they all went off about the same time and caused me some grief.

But two days ago this one battery I suspected was going into clean mode way too offten went into clean mode. So I decided to timed it, I unscrew it waited a few seconds then screwed it back on, this battery stayed in clean mode for one minute THAT WAY TO LONG this will burn up some major juice and may do some damage to the atty and who knows what else!

And yesterday late in the day after a couple of hits I put my 901 down for a short time maybe 2 minutes, I then picked it back up and WOW it was HOT, lots of juice had driped out onto the table. I had my screen mode in there so I guess it just sucked the juice out of the cart. It still worked but when I got home the atty stop working all together. I blew it out and ran it under hot water for about a minute or so, blew it out again and driped 2 drops of pure VG from Walmarts let it sit over night and it works now.

So now I unscrew the atty about a half turn before placing it down and before going to sleep, I also hold for several seconds and listen to it and make sure it hasn’t gone into clean mode after I toke it.

Pfff, and sure enough as I’m writing and vapin away it goes into clean mode in my hand.

I do know, as has been said in this thread that if you press the button when the battery is in clean mode it will stop.

As for juice getting into the button, I always wipe everyting down with a moist paper towel.

If there gona do this at least blink the light to let us know!!!

Computer chips and electronic circuit boards should not be mixed with voltage and ejuice!

Sorry for such a long post:rolleyes:!
