I haven't tried each bottle, but I'm really disappointed in the one I did try. I also got some Beaumont which is not too bad....not my favorite but not terrible either.

I've vaped more TGR vs castle long, but this batch (5/1) just isn't the same as before, I don't care what the steam co says.

One of my local vape shops had started carrying a locally made juice that's "similar" (bourbon, vanilla, almond...can't recall if there's coconut...barrel aged I think) but it's the same price as five pawns.... One of the great things about the steam co was it's price... but crappy juice is crappy juice regardless of the cost :( pity.

Crappy might be a strong word, but the flavor difference to me seems pretty extreme.... so to go from an 8 or 9 to a 4ish.... other word descriptions could be disappointing, lousy, upsetting, forgettable, passable, unpleasant, and others I'm sure.

I'm not going to give up, but reading this thread seems to expose a big flaw with the steam co.... lack of continuity.

One good batch, one bad batch, one mediocre batch, rinse and repeat.

I'm not a juice maker so I don't know how hard or easy it is to maintain the same quality and flavor? But I think other premium juices do it? So..........?

I believe until 6/30

I will say customer service at the steam co has been excellent for me. Emails answered, phone calls answered. They want to keep their customers happy, imo. Might be time to sample a bottle or two I've had my eye on like SCDP, Merlyns Bow and Cobra Chai.

I had ordered three bottles of GR last month ( 5/1 dob), but didn't try them until a couple of days ago. I was worried based on the comments here, but thankfully i didn't notice much difference from the earlier batch ( February or March i believe ).

I am not sure why some of you are having a different experience. Is it possible they made more than one batch on that date, and some where good and some not ? Or is it the eight week steep time ?

Regardless, i am happy with the first bottle out of the three any way. Let's see how the others are. I won't be ordering any juice for at least six to nine months as i need to make a dent into my inventory, and by then i will have attempted a diy clone.

Three bottles? Dang, what an endorsement.

Glad I checked this before giving tgr another shot :/ last 2 bottles were from the 5/1 batch, noticed right away the smell was different, but mostly from when I filled my tank, the liquid was CLEAR?? I knew instantly that I had 60 mls of something borderline unvapeable :( after the first vape smh..... Figured I'd wait for the next batch or 2 , but seems it's always gonna be a crap shoot

Just got the replacement bottles of TGR I was promised. 6/1 brew date, 6mg. Smells more like the TGR I remember. The toasted coconut and bourbon are much more prominent than my last batch. I will clean out the RDA and report back.
Definitely report back on this please! If the coconut is more prominent and the bourbon as well I just might have to spring for a new bottle. Ive shelved all my GR for now, still enjoy the occasional beaumont though.

Been vaping the new stuff for about 1/2 hour now. I'm perplexed. It's closer to the TGR I first vaped, but still different. First off, it's milder. Not weak, but a little mellow. Vapor production is good. And then there's the confusing part- taste. I got the toasted coconut and bourbon in the first couple drippings. The next couple drippings contained those and nuttiness and also added sugar cookie on the exhale. Now I'm getting just bourbon inhale and a little sugar cookie on exhale. Tastes good, but different. It may be my cotton breaking in. It's weird. I'll comment back after more testing.

Received my replacement bottles from Ronnie at thesteamco.com, had a nice surprise inside that I've been waiting on for quite sometime. A large bottle of gentleman's reserve! :D

The customer service at the steam co is excellent. In fact, I was told directly by them if any of you have issues with the 5/1 batch to contact them directly with pictures for a quick resolution. You can't ask more of any company!

I have not vaped any yet, only arrived today, it smells excellent, and will report back after vaping some.

Two thumbs way up for the steam co!

Having vaped some of the 6/1 batch (about 30ml) in both my semovar/kf31 and dna20/fogger4...... it is better than 5/1, a little sweeter, and the flavor I expect is there. I vape TGR and CL almost exclusively, why? because I like it/them. More so than just about any other vape.

When I order TGR I usually get several bottles, and even vaping 5/1 and 6/1 side by side I can tell a difference ... the 6/1 is better! :2c::vapor:

Thank you for posting this. Last Thursday afternoon I contacted The Steam Company because of your report. On Monday I received replacements for my 4 bottles of the 5/1 dob batch. I agree with your assessment. The 6/1 batch is better, still not what I remember from earlier in the year, but better.
Steam Company has earned my respect for the unquestioning service they have provided in a most speedy manner. I also give two thumbs up. Thank you Steam Company.
And thank you Phone Guy, I probably would have just written the 4 bottles off without your post.
