The stupid things...

So I was building an rba atop my NZonic V3 and I did something stupid. The coil was already connected I was just squishing some cotton through it. Well I was pushing the cotton and my hand slipped and pushed the device down. Normally, pushing the device down is no big deal because it has the locking ring. Well here comes the stupid part... it wasn't locked. Luckily the coil popped before anything caught fire, hooray for hotspots. I now check the ring every time I set the device down, I know I should every time but it takes so long to spin the ring around lol. Anyways, lesson learned, nothing was damaged except for the imperfect coil I had and a strand of cotton.

Please tell me I'm not the only person that's done this, it seems like it would happen to everybody at least once.

Yeah I did this once with a side button burnt the crap out of my finger.

Did the same thing last night! Adjusting the coils slightly and i managed to push down a little too hard and burnt my fingers! Always use a tool to adjust coils, not fingers. Lesson learned lol

I've done that for sure. Perhaps I have one better though: while fiddling with a coil on one genny, I went to take a pull off another only to realize that the top cap was off. nearly burnt a hole in my bottom lip.

Here's one for the Stupid Things annals: spending $110 on an awesome kfl, then proceeding to F it up by torching the wick to clean it while still on the device - and melting all to hell the insulator below the pos block. Dumb, dumb, dumb! Good thing Vaperev sells replacements.

I've done this too! Browsing ECF not paying attention and wham, burned lip lol.

I've done that for sure. Perhaps I have one better though: while fiddling with a coil on one genny, I went to take a pull off another only to realize that the top cap was off. nearly burnt a hole in my bottom lip.

Back a few years ago I fell asleep with my Chuck in my hand(It's an early Mod for those that weren't around 4 years ago). I woke up with a 3rd degree burn on my stomach and a 510 drip tip melted into atomizer. To this day that atty will still fire but I can't get the drip tip off.

Yep, sounds like you modded your atomizer.

Falling asleep would be interesting for me, all of my devices are wicked with cotton... nothing like waking up to a fire ball... lol
