I'm settled on the ipv D2 and ipv D3. Topped with Aqua V2 clones. Haven't wanted anything else in a while, so I'm either due for a bout of shinyitis or vape contentment has found me at last.

IPV D3 is my "workhorse" mod with the Prism T22 tank. It's solid, light and cheap so if you drop it and it breaks who cares.

My favorite board is actually from last year; DNA 200 especially since they GREATLY improved TC with SS.

Favorite mod; Hotcig DX200, just love the feel, the looks and the 510.

Favorite tank; Don't really have one but if I was forced to pick one it would be the Griffin for DL and the Kayfun V5 for MTl.

Looks like Kayfun and Provari are on top for 2016. Who would have thunk.
I thought that was interesting too. Likely a much smaller percentage of vapers subohming than some of us might have thought.

Kayfun clones being everywhere and many Provaris now selling for under $30 new likely helps as well.

When I started vaping a year ago, there was lots of Provape bashing... too expensive, underpowered, old technology, etc. It seems that the FDA deeming mess and the price drops changed things.

I don't really use any of my other setups anymore. This is my current daily driver:

I'm a dna convert now [emoji23] i just love how accurate the tc is on these, never burnt my cotton since i got it.

The others are collecting dust on the shelf:

The serpent minis are my fave tank atm until i find my next mini rta. My sights are currently set on the goblin mini v3.

I stopped using TC for a while but when I started building some SS coils again man the DNA 200 is just amazing in TC. Especially with the update that tightened up the regulation now SS316l runs smooth as butter. Accuracy wise the Yihi boards are just as accurate but they don't control the temp as well. Now if Yihi stopped using PWM it probably would be.

Ive been wanting to try a yihi chip as well before buying a dna but they are a tad more expensive than their dna counterparts. An as far as my research went, they aren't as accurate as their dna counterparts.

Really glad i went with dna instead. I agree, the tc is smooth as silk. And my cotton is never charred. Absolutely love it. Never went back to amy of my other mods. Looking forward to the new dna 60.

I chose Evolv for many reasons. Biggest one was of course accuracy, Escribe, board efficiency and just the way everything operates. The way you navigate is easier imo then menus. I also like refinement because coil resistance (especially when new) can change and it's nice that the board will automatically compensate for that change, no re-locking for re-locking.

How's the goblin compared to the serpent? Any leaking issues?

Planning to get a goblin but im still thinking about it. Looking into using it in single coil mode.

Never used the Goblin but the Bellus is good in single coil mode.

Ive a question about that refinement feature. Sometimes my resistance would change from .58-.65. Should i lock it in or is this the refinement doing its thing?

Ive heard a lot of good tgings about the bellus but unfortunately, it really isnt for me as i like to keep my tanks small. Around the serpent mini's size. I even find my moonshot a bit big nowadays. But that's just my preference. Maybe if i went back to dual battery mods (eyeing that boxer 133), I'd get bigger tanks at atound the 4ml capacity.

In TC if it's changing that much you should lock it in. All though if it's changing that much all the time something isn't right. Once the coil is stable the resistance might change .01-.02 max. Basically if you have to constantly adjust the temperature and you're sure the build is good lock it, if you don't have to change the temperature keep it unlocked and let the board do it's thing.

All right, thanks for this! Will be keeping an eye on it. If im not mistaken, it's only done that once. After cleaning the tank off yesterday and tightening everything up, it's back to .58-.59.

I have the same set-up sitting right next to me, except my Serpent Mini is SS. :) The black with the red O-ring looks pretty snazzy. I was going to put on the red O-ring, but haven't got around to it yet. I too was eyeing the Goblin V3, but I'm pretty happy with the Serpent atm.

I got the crown as my first tank after reading so many good reviews. Took a lot of experimentation but the .5 in tc is awesome. Hard to pick a winner between the moonshot & tf-rta. The moonshot has excellent flavor but the smok tank gives very satisfying hits at the expense of leaks.

I've never used the serpent, but the goblin is a great tank when you know how to set it up. Velocity style deck, can hold 3mm claptons in a tank, and keep up with the wicking. To get it to be leak proof, keep the wicking guide ring on when you wick it.. have enough cotton to go int he hole, but to the halfway point of the wicking ring or higher. if it gets to the bottom of the wicking ring, you'll get dry hits with high ohm builds. I use that wicking ring as a guide to how well it will wick.. the higher it is on that ring, the more it will wick. if it gets above the ring, it will leak.

I like the Serpent better but both are equal in flavor. The Goblin is a little more finicky...

I had some leaking in the beginning but after I got the hang of it, no problems...

I like the SS version better actually but it looked better on my pico and I was forced to buy the black version as well since the mod is black/red.

The reason why I'm really looking into the goblin is because I'm hoping the finish would be more durable. After cleaning the black serpent a couple of times, I've already managed to chip some paint off. With a toothbrush at that. Looking for a small tank that's anodized rather than painted.

Regardless though, I really do love the serpent mini. It's a great little tank for he money [emoji4]

Thanks for the tip! Is yours black? If so, does he finish rub off easily?
