No. For a Panasonic which that is, Panasonic CGR18650CH is the one you want not that ICR1850 which I think is a protected battery. Other batteries to use should be labeled IMR 18650 or 18350, high drain and unprotected.

What about the ones on provape? The prices seem legit...thoughts?

Provape is definitely legit!
They are the maker of the legendary ProVari and carry quality products.

Now I have a couple of questions for you.
Are you looking for the cheapest prices and can wait a couple of weeks or do you need batteries now.
Also are you looking for 18650's or 18350's.

I don't really care about price, what I want is a safe, quality battery that will last me a couple of days between charges. 18650 preferably. Another question for you is, will the 3000mah fit in the Vamo? I just ordered the Vamo today from fasttech so I have roughly 8-10 days...

Vamo requires high drain batteries.
You can't just put in any old Li-on.

The best deals on 18650's are at Fasttech as well.
Panasonic NCR18650PD (2900mAh) and Panasonic CGR18650CH (2050mAh) are great batteries.
Fasttech has the CGR's with some of their kits.

Don't forget you need a quality charger as well.

Just got my VAMO and did a search here but couldn't find a direct answer. I was watching GrimmGreen's VAMO review and he said you could use 16340 batteries. From the pages I've read on this thread, it seems like the only batteries compatible is 18650 and 18350. I bought the kit from Fasttech that includes the Nitecore intelligent charger and it doesn't charge 18350's.

I want to have it in short mode when I go out and I don't want to get another charger for the 18350's. The Nitecore intelligent charger lists these batteries as compatible: 26650, 22650, 18650, 17670, 18490, 17500, 17335, 14500, 16340 (RCR123).

So my questions is, does the 16340 battery work with the VAMO? Or any short batteries on this list?

It'll charge 18350's as well....

Do yourself a favor and buy AW 18350's for short mode.

I just bought Vamo-Vivi Voltage and I'm wondering if the batteries are safe now! I just came in here trying to find out how to figure out how much battery life is left on the display and now I'm wondering if I will blow my hand off lol. Should I be using these until they die or should I be buying new batteries?

Those kit batteries are pretty much just what they could get cheap.
The charger is a cheapo as well.

I am sure they work in a pinch, but I would start looking at getting a good charger and batteries.

Ok, that sounds good to me. I'll start looking while I wear these out. As long as they arent going to explode, I'm ok with that. Any settings I should be using to be safe?

Just don't crank the wattage and you'll be fine.
If you like it hitting really hard it's probably a bit safer using them stacked.

As far as I know, there are no published specs for those batteries, so it's had to say what they can handle.
Also.... Don't leave batteries in that charger unattended.

Ahah! That's the kit my recently-bought-used-from-ecf-classies V2/charger/batts must have come from.
I have those batts/charger and they work well but seem so sketchy that I keep very close tabs on them.

I have an AW IMR 18650 on the way from RTD and SS Vamo V2 w/Nitecore/Pannies coming on a slow boat.

The sketchy generics'll sit safely in a drawer once the AW gets here.

Thanks to y'all that contribute to this thread :toast:

That's the kit I got several weeks ago. The batteries are not too bad at all but I had another charger to use. The charger works but just thinking safety, it's now my emergency charger. I have 2 Vamo's and keep one short with just a 350 in it. Those clearos are not bad either, like the tips.

They say Vivi Nova but it looks like an iClear30 tip. Does it swivel?

My Vivi Novas seemed muted on eGos but the Vamo makes them rock!

I found it takes a tank or two to get them broke in and tasting right. About the only thing that seems to give great prolonged flavor right out of the box is a dripper, IMO, and even they are not perfect and sometimes need to be cleaned before using. I have two glass RBA's and even they needed a breaking in period.

I'm going to order some eFest 18350s from Amazon due to a gift card that's been sitting around collecting dust. Should I get flat top or button top? I think flat top, but wanted to be sure.

Couldn't find AW 18350s on Amazon, and since they won't be my primary batteries, I'm ok with it.

Edit - I'll use them in a V3 if that makes a difference.

There's a current tread where someone couldn't get flat tops to work in a V3.
Button tops work fine in a V2.
