can i run the panasonic 18650 3400mah battery in the vamo v2? its flat top so has anyone tried it in thier vamo v2? thinking about getting a couple of them. I too don't wanna go thru this thread page by page looking.

Those batteries are about as good as it gets for ICR batteries. The protected version is pretty long but may fit anyway.
They would probably work, but aren't the best choice for a Vamo.

Better choices:
Panasonic CGR18650CH
Panasonic NCR18650PD

Both of these are unprotected high drain batteries.

I am using Efest IMR 18350 800 Mah (stacked) and Everfire ICR 18650 2400 Mah I also have some Everfire ICR 18350 1000 Mah batteries that I haven't tried yet. I ordered the Efest's with the Vamo after odrering it I looked around for extra battries I found the Everfire's on Amazon for next to nothing afer I used my rewards points:2cool: The stacked 18350's I had to lower the wattage to 6- 6.5 or it tasted slightly burnt. with a single 18650 I can vape at 7-7.5 watts with no issues. The 18650's are about the same diameter as the18350's so I have no battery rattle issues.

hmm...

I googled Everfire batteries and got nothing (same with Amazon search as well) Probably meant Trustfire or Ultrafire.
Anyway ICR batteries are not the recommended batteries for use with a Vamo.

The difference you are experiencing between stacked 18350's and a single 18650 is probably from being in AVG mode. (Make sure you are set to N02 for RMS mode)
At low wattage levels like that your juice shouldn't taste Burnt.
With my all day juice, I vape at 11-12W or 4.5-5V if I am using an unruly coil.

As to battery diameter, let's break down the numbers...
With an 18650, you have a battery that is roughly 18mm wide 65mm long hence the designation '18'65'0.

Xbassman you are correct they are Ultrafire batteries my bad. As to the battery size/ rattle issue i was refering to the OP's comment on batterry rattle (Pbusardo also commented on this in his review of the Vamo) and I found no issue there. Yes I am in NO2 (rms mode), but taste is always subjective. What may be spicy to some is mild to others What you may call TH I might call burnt taste. I respect your right to your opinion , but I believe I should be allowed my right to mine

Efest now has a smart charger on the market with an LCD screen. Exhale has them for sale on pre-order for delivery later this month. Vapor Joe's has the details, NEW: Efest Universal 2 Bay LCD Charger - $27.93. I decided to give one of them a try as I thought it would be nice to have a more convenient crosscheck for the voltage on the paired 18350s I use for stacking other than fussing with a multimeter.

Just FYI, concerning the batteries. I tried out a store brand Nuon 18650. Was told it was protected, but none of the packaging or anything specified the type. Charged for 8 hours. Put it in the vamo, and it wont work over 4.5w

The vamo cuts off. I unwrapped on and found it is really a Samsung ICR18650. So I would say that is not the way to go (ICR).

I need an 18650 that will work with the vamo and with my low resistance mech mod.

If you're looking for a protected battery, you may want to look into Orbtronic. I've been using their protected 18650 2900mAh batteries exclusively in my Vamo since the day I got it. The protection is supposed to kick in at 8A and I haven't tripped it yet (haven't tried them in a mech mod). The protection on their newer 3100 and 3400mAh versions is supposed to kick in at 10-12 amps.

ETA: I think all of the above batteries exceed the Vamo's Amp limit.

I just got my "Vamos" from FastTech in the mail today! It is stainless, with a gold spring and... .... .... the best part... ... ...
A T3 fits directly on to it without a 510/Ego adapter! The well is big enough to handle the T3, doing the happy dance!!!

Just be careful to not overtighten it...because the bottom fits in the well, I have almost unscrewed the tank from the base and didnt even realize it was the tank unscrewing and not the base (cause you cant see the base inside the well). But I am glad they fit.

Yes, I thought about that when I first found out it fits. Now I make it a point to really crank the base onto the tube of the T3 then just finger tighten it onto the Vamos. I'm always in a rush and could see myself unscrewing a T3 and dripping liquid all over the place!
