Man i consider myself so lucky that i was one of those that got off the cigs immediatly. But like catmommy says any cig not smoked is a win. I have a few friends at work that are vaping/smoking but they are struggling and I give a huge thanks to this forum and support for making my vaping so successful. I've tried telling that to my struggling friends to get on the ECF forums for advice and support, but I they don't.
Just keep on doing what feels right for you and we are all hear for ya!

Definitely agree with you here. This forum has been a proverbial life saver and then again possibly a literal one too! I have two confirmed converts under my belt. One will probably stick with it because he's sort of a gadget guy and the other who is struggling a bit as I am. I need to tune them in to ECF as well.

I didn't get my first e-cig to quit smoking. Only so I could "smoke" indoors. After a little while, I decided vaping was much more enjoyable, and I decided to quit smoking cigarettes.

But like you my friend, Vaping alone was not enough. I used Lucky Strike Snus and a couple brands of nasal Snuff before I finally kicked the habit. Now I'm off Tobacco altogether.

My whole journey took about 6 months, and 5 e-cig models... Now my KR-808d1 and some 36mg does the trick.

Hang in there.

There is something very different about vaping vs cigarettes although I can't quite figure out what it is..........I have been officially smoke free for one week and a day, although my signature thing says different. I had three cigs last week Saturday at a party but didn't feel like they tasted the same. I feel like the vaping has totally ruined my taste for real cigs, which is for sure a good thing, but I just find myself vaping much more than I ever smoked, which is the weird part. Anyway, not sure what my point is other than do what you gotta do to figure it all out. We are all on the same page here I think.

Okay, this was a stupid post. Should just delete.....i am sleeeeepy...............:)

Made sense to me. Real cigs make me kinda ill-feeling now after not touching one for a couple weeks. I think the reason we vape more than we smoked is also a subconscious knowing that what you are doing is much, much, less harmful than what you were doing before. Also, not having the chest pains, coughing, hacking, bad taste and lingering smoke smell may have something to do with draggin' a PV almost non-stop :D

Thats what i love about everyone here, no one really frowns upon someone else for still smoking analogs, they just offer tips and advice to help that person stay comfortable. I went from a pack a day down to 1 or 2 a day and ive been vaping since december 1st.

I want to thank everyone for the support. My 2 best friends and I made a pact we would all quit smoking the day after thanksgiving, they succeeded but i failed. I thought getting my PV would kill my urge for an analog but it didnt entirely.

After a month of vaping my buddy bought himself a vapor king after having a relapse into analogs. Since then we will vape as much as possible with each other to avoid smoking analogs. We work together so our smoke breaks always consist of some mountain do. :)

I really love the community here and its an honor to be vaping alongside everyone in the V4L family!!!!

ps.... anyone want some cappucino VG juice MED or Rootbeer PG in High? i bought them and cannot stand the stuff.

Remember Vaping is an "alternative" to smoking and not a "cessation" device. *

I decided to try vaping when my state went to Fire Safe Cigs and I couldn't stand them. When I bought my VK I had no intention of quitting smoking. I still haven't quit, but somehow the nicotine fairy decided I would rather get my fix from delicious vapor! I went from 30 cigs a day down to around 3. With no effort (besides stalking my mailman) I ended up vaping fool :) Pretty nice when you can go over a week on one pack of cigarettes.

* Keeping the FDA happy

If you get tired of dipping the snus...you can soak it in VG and vape it with a 3-piece :)

You can also vape it with a 2 piece. Just take the cottony stuff out of the carto, soak the snus in VG and stuff it in :) I haven't tried it but saw a good video someone posted here awhile back about it.

After I started vaping I still smoked 1-2 cigarettes a day. After a couple of months I found cigarettes to make me sick. Would light one up and start coughing and get nauseated. This negative respone made to quit cigarettes completely. If you just stick with vaping I think you will eventually be able to quit cigarettes completely. I vape anywhere from 36 to 42 constantly.

After a month living with V4L, I have a confession to make... Vaping just isn't enough for me. I absolutely love my gear and use it w/ 36mg like it's going out of style, but I haven't been able to shake loose of the smokes after getting down to 5 a day and back up to 10-15 this past Friday. I'm guessing that in addition to the nicotine, which I should be getting plenty of with 36, there's one of the 4000 other chemicals in the smokes that really scratches my itch. :-x

So yesterday I picked up a tin of Camel Snus instead of Marlboro Lights to see if that would help take the edge off and so far it has been a huge help. Yep, I know it's still a big tobacco product and that it's not as healthy as getting off tobacco altogether, but it seems like something that could help get me over the hump. I'm seriously jealous of all who were able to set down the smokes with the first vape.

Ya know, the funny thing is that I didn't come to vaping to quit smokes... but now that I'm here it seems like the thing to do. I'm going to stick with the vaping to get my hand-to-mouth fix and my "basic load" of nicotine, but for the time being it looks like it'll be snus to get me over the really rough patches. Maybe this is a little (or alot) off the forum topic but it always feels good to share. We're all addicts here one way or another, right?

AllCo - I could have written this myself WORD FOR WORD - Because it is exactly what I am going through and like you I found the Camel Snus helped more than vaping did.

Just today I got an order from getsnus.com but I have a horrible cold so I've yet to try them out to see how they compare to the Camel Snus.

Resist had an excellent suggestion in regards to getting a 5V - I bought a 5V Prodigy from Puresmoker and once I get over this cold I am going to spend most of the day chain vaping on my V4L Vapor King with fregquent 5V hits from my Prodigy that and I have the snus in case of a nicotine rush emergency!

You may want to check out the smokeless tobacco sub-forum - mostly everyone there is in the same boat as you and they are very helpful!

Good Luck!

I had to whip up a homebrew of high strength juice, but I am holding steady with a few cigs a day and vaping the rest.....and finally not having to vape constantly like when I first started. However, I was looking into making some "real" homebrew with Snus. What are you guys paying for them....and how long does a package last? I want to soak them in a solution and vape the drippins'......but not if they cost like a pack of cigs. That would defeat my purpose.

I've had good luck with the Camel snus today... 4 cigs and holding at the moment. Had 2 portions and three "smoke" breaks at work today and missed the cravings completely. I'm waiting on my order from getsnus.com to arrive as well. I'll have to give the 5V option a try... after I recover from my V4L order and snus order over the weekend! 8-o I've been luring about in the smokeless forum for a few days now too.

I want to say it was $3 and change for the Camel stuff here in Tennessee, and that was for 15 portions. I've been working on the same tin since Saturday morning - using about 4 portions a day for 1 hour +/- each. I ordered several sample packs from different companies and I think they come in 24 portion tins. The cost each was between $2-4. I'll have to echo Yanks, though, and say there's alot more info on the different products over in the smokless sub-forum... and much more knowledgeable folks than me! ;)
