Hey Guys ....
The final verdict is upon us!
The final verdict is upon us!
Here is where they started:
The Black Anodizing End Result: 4 Baths Later
(Take Note: Clear Anodizing on Right and Botched Black on Left)
The Verdict:

The Black Anodizing End Result: 4 Baths Later

The Verdict:
As you can clearly see ... The anodizing just didn't take. Luckily, we have a back up plan. That plan is to Powder coat instead of Anodize ...
The difference between Powder Coating and Anodizing and their process is actually quite different. We will no longer be able to etch AFTER the fact, it will have to be done beforehand. Meaning, the PRODIGY logo will now be engraved and be the same color as the actual tube. Some may think this looks sleeker, others not. At this point, its our only feasible option, with relatively quick turn around.
Units will be off to the Powder Coaters tomorrow, after a couple test units are complete, they should come hot out of the oven and ready to go Wednesday leading in to Thursday.
We certainly apologize about the week delay, and its the last thing we wanted to have happen and for that I sincerely apologize. With that said, we will also be including a free car adapter (plug in to charger) in with every Prodigy purchase!
To show you that all the pieces of the puzzle are infact complete, here is our switch, in its most virgin state

Now, 1 More Thing:
The button is now exposed ... We upped the gram force on switches (making them beefier to withstand the test of time) and the throw is quite different than your normal tactile switch. There is roughly 70 thousandths of a throw at this point, and will not fully engage/work, unless fully depressed. Now, for all you people concerned about it turning on in your pocket, this will still NOT happen, because the engagement point is roughly 20-30 thousandths under flush, meaning, even if the button was pushed to a flushed state, it would NOT engage, thus allowing it to be carried in pockets, and every other place known to man
We just found this was easier for people with *larger* fingers, because not everyone would have been able to activate a throw that long if their fingers were *above average* in size
