Mike has devoted himself to the VVPV for ages now; a long, lengthy and sometimes bumpy road that he needs to see to its completion. While the Envy/VmAx would definitly be my choice of the two, I would not ask his focus, his "gleam" to shift it ahead of the VVPV on his to-do list.

However, if it can be done concurrently and done well, more power to him and lucky for me - and the rest of us anxious for this particular PV to become available.

Well Mike is mostly done with the VVPV. Hes on final prototype and really the hard part is over. Now its just a matter of getting the parts manufactured in quantity. Im pretty sure the VVPV will hit the market before Christmas.

Everyone needs to bare in mind that the Vmax is going to be a little while. Its a completely new circuit running off of a boost. I expect he will have prototypes soon but imagine he will want to test them for a bit. With any new circuit you really want to put it through the paces. Rushing to market to meet consumer demand has proven to be a bad idea many times.

So to sum up the actual topic of PI :) I dont think it will need to take top billing. Pretty sure it already has it. Once the VVPV begins the manufacturing process it is mostly out of mikes hands and he can focus on the Vmax (or whatever its called) ;)

Pretty much every mod is an eGo killer.

Most mods are simply too large to penetrate into the eGo's core fan base; for them, a PV that disappears into their shirt pocket, performs adequately—if underwhelmingly—and draws no more attention in public than a ball-point pen outweighs its shortcomings.

If those same users were offered an alternative that retained the eGo's strengths while adding true VV capability reaching into the 5.5V vicinity (which the 3-stage eGo does not), only then do you have a potential eGo killer on your hands--or so I would argue.
