Update on my cracked chassis:

Spoke with Brian just now (great guy btw) and he is sending out a replacement. Excellent customer service, I must say. Looking forward to receiving the new chassis.

I second ALL of the above! Sincerely hoping our v2 issues are just a "fluke" and not a continued giant pita for Skinny/partners!!!

does your vmod gives u alittle burning taste at times?

my vmod screw on cone is scratching my chassis anyway i can help it?

last but not least is the cone always wet in the inside?

help guys! :)

Are you using silos or attys when you get the burning taste? If atty- let it soak (~30 min) in the juice before using.
The cone being wet inside- is a sign of 1: overfeeding or 2: the oring that goes around the body of the silo / atty is not properly installed. 3: your squirshing the bottle too hard: a gentle squirsh is all you need. Try using the VMod with the outer case off- if there is still juice by passing the oring- turn the oring inside out and re-install

Hey everyone :)

I thought I'd update my findings with the weeping issue I've been grappling with the last little bit. Long story short, I now blame the atomizer :)

To recap, I had leaks, then no leaks after adding the catch cup and changing bottles. Then leaks again after about a week, so the bottle was the prime suspect.

I washed the chasis and did the O-ring thing which didn't help. Basically I noticed that even after soaking the atty (a 2Ω from COV, bottom feeder, and yes I installed both the gaskets) would dry up fairly quickly. After a lot of testing with the shell off, it appears that juice would rather flood back out the bottom of the atty than wick up to the wick and coils. It didn't leak once from the bottle. Maybe a bad run of atties from over there, dunno?

I'm using a 2.2Ω silo today, and the thing is once again virtually bone dry. The good news is this silo works better than the last one I used, so i don't totally hate it :) Just for kicks I'm also rocking a #7 o-ring around the bottle, but I don't think it's actually doing anything.

i need help!!!!!..the vmod was doing great!!..now it won't fire!!!

1. Check to make sure it's not in 'safe' mode by twisting the button all the way clockwise. Might need to adjust the spring underneath if it is twisting on it's own.

2. Make sure the atty or carto isn't dead by trying a different one

3. Make sure the battery is good

4. If all else fails, check to see that the wire going from the spring up to the atomizer connection is in place.

No, not on their own, unless there was something wrong with them to begin with, and even so.... very unlikely. I run them all the time on my vmods, as well as other devices, both mechanical and electrical, and have never seen a problem in almost 2 years. Besides, if it was a direct short, the spring at the bottom would collapse before the battery did any real damage. How does that spring look? Did you check the wire going to the bottom of the atomizer? I haven't had this problem, but I have heard that some have displaced it. It goes straight across from the top spring to the side where the catch cup is installed.

If you smelled something burning though, please be careful.

on so i just put another imr bat and the ..... got real hot,def smell's burned, what do i do now?!..the bottom spring turned brown.

Then you have a direct short somewhere. I've had that happen with atomizers before, where the center insulator had become dislodged and shorted out. Either the atty/carto you have has shorted or there is a short in the connection (likely on the bottom of the 510 connector where the wire goes across from the battery. Your best bet is to contact vapage customer service and ask them what to do. I expect they will probably replace the chassis for you. Don't use it anymore how it sits though, the spring did what it was supposed to do and dissipated the extra current.

Sorry you had a problem with it, but it's a rarity for sure. This is the first I've heard of this kind of problem, although it can happen on any mod. When it happened to me, it was on a 1 day old R&R Journeyman. I was pretty nervous for a few days after, but it hasn't happened on anything I own since. Hang in there, get it replaced, and here's hoping for fast shipping!

Press the bottle oh so delicately. Or Squash, Squoosh, Schmash!

VMODs have endless possibilities.

....including

an adjustable draw drip tip.

A lot of the new bottom feeding attys are too "airy" for me so I made one I can adust the draw by turning the top disk in the tip.
