re: Batteries. The Charger they supply is odd. If you load it up with both batteries, lights go red, then charge until both green lights come on, then switch the two batteries, it goes back to red for a long time. It looks like only one bay is actually usable. No idea how best to use it. In any case I don't believe 900 mAh is enough battery to run 1.5 ohm attys on. The batteries "fold" (voltage drops a lot), and I had to swap/recharge batteries several times during 4 hours of testing.
re: Batteries. The ON-OFF switch lock does not work. It was apparently designed for batteries with a flatter positive terminal. The switch engages even if it's supposedly locked in the "OFF" position. This is because the batteries they supply have a healthy "cap", so that the switch plate connects with barely a push.
AG, I'm not burning attys up. Out of 4, one was DOA, the bottom post was making no connection. Two out of the remaining 3 have the coil wound much too loose on the wick. The result is that sections of wire are not cooled by liquid and glow orange even if the atty is soaking wet. This high temp breaks down juice, e.g. VG breaks down to acrolein, which is extremely toxic. I happen to use mostly glycerin in my juices, so I notice. It was the acrid harsh taste of acrolein that alerted me to the problem, much to my surprise. I suppose it's a "throat hit", but I don't think it's OK. For all that I wasn't tasting much flavor or getting much vapor. At 2 ohms it was wimpy, at 1.5 it was very harsh.

The Silo cartos taste odd, I don't like that aftertaste one bit, and I didn't feel well after testing the unit. No, I'm not a placebo responder, at all. I do like the neutral taste of Boge 2.0s (as well as Echos, SMOK dual coils etc - I know what a clean carto tastes like).
I know there are people here who are totally in love with these VMODs. And with a different carto I'm beginning to like it too. But with all the enthusiasm I expected not to have problems like what I ran into. I'm not trying to be a jerk, and I appreciate the friendship that prevails here. But people who are looking for impartial info have every right to hear the pros and the cons. No offense to anyone intended.
