Not on the 2 I am currently using. This might not be your issue but I'll toss it out for others. I had problems with another mechanical metal feeder turning off easily. I found it was the way I was depressing the button and coming in at an angle. I vape mostly lefty, and the button set up on the Vmod is perfect for me.

I had a teeny issue with the button/spring as well. I just wiggled the spring and gave it a gentle nudge to move it away from where it was interfering with the button. Now it's absolutely fine.

I can get it to realign by holding the spring down from the inside and turning the button at the same time to the "on" position. But, when I turn it to "off" the button rotates its position on the spring and when I turn back to "on" it holds this position which is misaligned.

The spring is catching on the bottom of the button. Think of twisting a spring in your hands. Twist it and it wants to return to its natural position. Problem is that it slips on the button in one direction and grab in the other. If I could get in there I could bend the tip of the spring away from the button and give it slippage in both direction so that the orientaion of the button stays where I put it.

Great News. And I was really hoping for that solution on the replacement chasis. That's pretty special.

Yeah, I'll be on the list, too -- good news is I barely get a weep & wasn't overly worried. It is really great that these "issues" are being handled so quickly. These guys are busy!

Not to worry, VMOD-ers. This just in from Vapage:

The crack is caused by the way the connector cup is assembled into the chassis. The cup has too much room to wiggle around inside the plastic chassis. There has been a revision made for the entire chassis to remove the chance of the cup moving around and causing the crack. The revision includes a set pin and a sleeve. *There will be free replacement chassis available in the next few weeks.* Anyone with a cracked chassis should contact Vapage. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I had to call Monday because mine did leak a little after 8 days, but that wasn't the issue. It stopped firing period. When I called the guy told me he would put another in the mail. He also said that whole chamber will spin and if it makes contact with the part under that little dimple inside it will stop working. Anyways I fiddled with it and it must just be pressed in because it will pop down and I was able to turn it with needle nose. I also pushed that little arm underneath until it wasn't touching. It works, but it's a pain so I will keep adjusting it till my replacement comes. I hope it's the new one mentioned and will work better than these.

But...are those replacements different bodies? Or the new revision?

It probably depends on what's available.

Whichever, these guys sure are working to improve this mod at a very rapid pace for everyone. See earlier post: ( I added some emphasis.)

I'm sure we'll be updated in the coming weeks.

I think this has been posted but it's probably pages back now. The culprit on the cracking is the cone, so if you don't have cracks, do not snub it down too much. I think screwing atty/carto/feed bottle in could also cause the metal chamber to spin. It is just press fit. The new chassis they are working on will fix this problem.

Just felt my chamber spin slightly while screwing in an atty. I still don't have one of the o rings(Vapage has sent me some) so the only way I found to keep that leak to a minimum was to snug the atty a bit more than you probably should. But I did not have many choices with it leaking 2 faulty places. It's working with no currently apparent new leaks though. Not sure the "fix" will not create new stress points. Almost too fragile a pv for me, but the vape is just too blissful.

Brian showed me one of the new chassis on Skype the other night.

I don't think we'll be seeing these problems anymore.

There will be a pin to keep the connection from turning, and a sleeve to keep it from rocking.
The mold injection was improved too.

Keep in mind that not all of the Vmods are cracking either.
I have two of them and neither has cracked.
Go figure...
