YAY!!!! I got my vmod from blondie this a.m. and am soaking the atty now thx to Kat's instructions, (thank you very much Kat 
). I'm very happy w/it ~ n kinda worried also. Maybe someone could help w/a suggestion for me. I got the silver one which is ok, but it is very slick and that's the problem. I have neuropathy in my feet and hands (results from chemo), so my fingertips have a numbness to them. (I've always been clumsy, now I have an excuse lol.) I don't want to ruin it or make it gaudy. Can I rattle can it?? Any thoughts would be nice.

Maybe wrap it with a couple of narrow strips of colored athletic-type tape.

yeah, you want to get all the shiny off, so that the paint can adhere properly. once the finish is off, clean clean clean - then spray.
Vikki.... Your area should have some decent surf shops... They should have surf board grip tape that you could cut to fit or skate board deck tape. They even have different colors... I bet if you explain to them your condition they will cut it to size and apply it for... It is pretty cheap as well....
I'm in LOOOOVE I followed AMG's directions and so far no leakage and vapor euphoria!! Thank you everyone for your posts and help! And since this is my 1st mod, it will always be the most special to me!! 
You could also check bicycle/MTB shops for brake handle grip tape. It comes in small strips to apply to brake handles to give more grip.... Both these suggestions should be very inexpensive...
My suggestions are for the exterior of the case to give you some grip... BTW... Would not want to be confusing....
Your welcome... I really had know idea what the both of us would be getting into.... We need to Thank the peeps from around here for making such great posts about this little engine that can.... I am just glad you did not have the same start as I did.... I was a bit worried... Regardless I knew there would be excellent support from these wonderful peeps that would make your/our experience a good one....

I jumped on the new 1.8 and 2.2 silo carto's when they became available from vapage -- just got my order today.
the good news is I'd asked for extra o-rings in the comments section of the order and they shipped several! Great so that now I don't have to worry about losing the 1 o-ring I had...
the bad news is that I bought 3 packs of 2.2 (6 carto's), and the packages are hand-marked as being 2.2 Silo's. But the actual carto's are engraved 2.8 and meter out above 3 grrrr
I've emailed them and I know they'll probably exchange them for me, but I have visions of giant boxes of mislabled carto's that they may be unknowingly shipping out...so just wanted to give everyone a heads-up to actually LOOK at the engraving on the cartos when you get them....don't believe everything the packaging tells you Just email them if you get something different than what you ordered and I'm sure they'll take care of it

Im glad everyone is enjoying the V,and that stinks jb you got the wrong silos.Hopefully they send the 2.2s quickly.
thanks, keyzy i'm sure they will. ....and for the topper to a perfect day, just opened it up to refill the bottle for the first time (that's how little I've used it)...and the dreaded crack is there. I really want to like this thing, but am not too impressed so far
That stinks,get on the replacement list,lol.Im sure the new chasis will be better.
Step 1 - Sandblast
2 - Wipe with thinner.
3- Powder Coat outside of cover in any color you like.
4 - Put in oven @425 for 15 minutes.
In vikki's case a wrinkle finish would be great.
