I feel your pain! Both of mine have just over the course of the weekend developed a hairline crack left of the mold seam on the housing for the feeder bottle. Talk about a mess. Anyway I guess I will find out what Vapage wants me to do.

Email Vapage on Friday, the 19th and make sure to put in your mailing address. You will get a replacement VMOD, jbeery. Vapage is WELL aware of the cracking issue and has re-vamped the chassis. They are a great company and will take care of us.

Meanwhile, I used a tiny bit of scotch tape, and that is doing the trick for me. One poster used a drop of super glue.

LOL For this issue the best thing to do right now is get some superglue/kwikglue or any other brand of that miricle stuff -- apply a tad, wait a few seconds, reassemble & vape. (scotch tape isn't bad either!)

They've asked us to email on the 19th----Friday. That's what Vapage asked us to do.....and somehow that makes sense to me----as it seems more efficient somehow. IMHO, of course.

They are pretty excited about the improvements and are eager to get them, too!

Bumping the carto mod.
Post 637 added to tag cloud.

Okay so here's how I did it. I'm not good at explaining so bare with me. Hopefully the pictures show what I did better than me explaining it.

If you notice my old desk, you will see the metal shavings I'm talking about. I didn't put anything down to catch them when I made the first carto. Please excuse my old teacher's desk..it's seen better days and hope to get it refinished when I get a chance.

Tools needed:
Dremel motor
#420 Heavy Duty Cut-off discs
Needle or precission screwdriver
Cartomizer or atomizer
Safety glasses due to metal dust
Newspaper or old rag to catch metal dust

Put rag or newspaper down.

Put safety glasses on. I wear glasses but please put safety glasses on over them. The dust will fly everywhere...even behind regular glasses.

Attach #420 disc to dremel motor and lock down.

Take a carto or atomizer and hold at an angle with the threads facing upwards (but will be at a slant).

Turn on dremel to high speed.

On the very edge of carto or atty, start grinding but don't go clear through. Hit it a little, then look at it and keep doing this until you see that the metal starts to get thin. Poke it with a needle or precission screwdriver to see if it will give. If not, hit it with the dremel again. Once the metal gives with the needle or screwdriver, dig it out a little bit. You have your feeding hole. Do this in 2-3 places around the very edge of the atty or carto.

Now make sure that the flat edge doesn't have any burs. The flat edge that I'm talking about is the one, if you sat the carto or atty on a flat surface with threads facing straight up, and looked straight down at it (I hope that makes sense...in other words if you sat it to drain overnight). If it does have burs, use the dremel to smooth them off making sure you don't hit the threads on the carto or atty. I smooth mine by "raking" the disc over it. Now wipe it off to remove the metal dust. Install the little gasket that goes over the threads and screw into the VMod. Now feed it and vape away.

I did this with both an atty and carto and so far neither has had any leaking. I've been vaping it with the housing off to see if anything is leaking through and so far it's not.

Sorry for these crappy pics but my daughter took the "monster" camera out of town with her so I only had my little digital to work with. I hope the pics better explain how I made these. I don't like atomizers but used one just to see if I could get it to work but I went at it blindly because I don't know what a hybrid looks like. The atty that I made works also.

If anyone tries this, please make sure you wipe everything down to remove the metal dust.

Pic two - Nicking it with the dremel.

Pic three - Kept nicking it until I got it thinned down enough to poke a needle/precission screwdriver through it.

Pic four - Threaded end pic. Notice the 3 indentions.

Pic five - Another pic of the indentions from looking straight down at the threaded end. The cuts are visible and make it look somewhat beveled.

Pic six - The complete Boge LR cartomizer (there are 3 of these holes)

Pic seven - The atomizer I made...my own little hybrid with ring installed.

After spending a little time cleaning them up and checking the crack deal out I do not get how it weeps from there. I can see that it does I just do not see how? Anyway Thanks for the heads up on Friday and the fixes I will give the tape a try.

Agreed. I have vaped with the shell off for several hours with each, tissue in hand. It does seep from that crack. I was uber careful screwing in all components on the 3rd, yet it developed a crack anyway. So anxious for the new chassis to be available ;-)

I haz VMOD. Filling was a breeze, directions worked perfectly... I couldn't wait the 30 mins to soak the atty. Had to try it ASAP.

As far as my delayed delivery... The ended up throwing in extra ATTYS which was a nice surprise that I didn't feel like they needed to do.

My first vape... Naturally, it had to be AG Dream out of respect.

These flavors are popping. Oddly... The throat hit is NOT as strong as it is on my Provari (1.5 at 3.7-3.9) or Bombshell (6v at 2.2-2.5).

Right now... Using the VMOD at 3.7 and the 2.0 BF atty.

Try a direct lung inhale with the Vmod...it's pretty awesome! :)
