Beaver, you might try cutting one just shy of 3/16" to see if that works better. Make sure when you thread your atty/ carto into the Vmod that you don't over tighten. Just let it bottom out, don't torque it down. If you over tighten the bottom seal will curl up and cover the slots that allow the juice to flow into the atty/ carto. Also if your outer seal gets pushed down too far it also covers the juice slots. When either of these happen the juice has no where to go and the pressure pushes it past the seals and you get leaks....
I think this was it the cone was pushing both the original seal and the first one i made down too far. Now that I've cut one extremely thin it appears to be working much better. I'm gonna wait awhile before I call it a complete success but so far so good.

You can always trim the original seal. There have been reports of some of them being too long. Sounds like yours is may be one of them. :)

After 3 weeks I have started to develop a leak. Haven't had any problems until Friday (9/23) then I started noticing juice coming out the bottom of my Vmod. I took the skin off and I noticed juice around the bottom of the chassis. I followed the juice trail up the chassis and found it stopped just above the metal cup that the bottle screws into. It seems to leak if the Vmod sits for awhile like the juice is draining down from the Atty or the reserve. It will not be wet when I pick it up but after about two draws I start feeling the juice running out the bottom of my Vmod. To me it appears that juice is filling the catch cup and overflowing. It doesn't appear to be blown out from feeding the reserve because there is no juice on the inside of the skin. I believe the juice is draining out of the atty and leaking past the seal on the bottom of the atty. This floods the catch cup and leaks down the chassis as I tilt the Vmod to take a draw. Now! Any ideas whats going on here?? Or, How to prevent this?? Remember it just started a few days ago after almost three weeks without a leak.

Atomizers will start to gum up after a period of time, causing them to not hold juice as well. Either you need to vape your atomizer dry each time, or clean the atomizer. The easiest way is to soak the atty in some vodka or everclear for a few hours, blow it out, soak it for another hour, blow it out & let it dry. The alcohol will remove the gummed up juice, so it can wick properly again.

Have shot glass of Vodka that I drop atty in after every bottle or two of juice. Let soak, dry burn and it's like new again... Same atty 3 weeks now. Still has great vapor and taste.......

If the atty is still good, maybe it's just too juicy when you set it aside.

That's about all I've got...

Not sure to be honest?

I use it for a while, and when I take the casing off, the entire side (non-battery side and sometimes, but rarely, the battery side) is covered in a layer of juice. I can tell immediately if I take my cone off and see the outer layer of my atty covered in juice, so I assumed it was coming from the juice feeding well, but I dunno for sure?

No leaks with the cartomizer, just the atty.

The upper seal looks like a carto condom without an end. If it's too long, it will cover the feed hole at the bottom of the chamber. When you squarsh the bottle, you'll be forcing juice to the outside of the seal, instead of into the chamber and atty. Nothing needs replaced when you blow by the upper seal, but you'll have leakage. If seal is too long, you can trim the end a millimeter.
