Let me start by saying I love my Vmod. It really brings out the best flavor and vapor of all my mods. With that said I recently ordered 6 atty's (1.5 Ohm Hybrid) and 2 more batts thinking this should be good for a couple months (the 1.5 Ohm Hybrids last me about 1-2 weeks and that is ok with me). Any way the first and third atty's were DOA, the 2nd atty only lasted 1 day. This is just crazy imho. Do I just have the worst luck or what?

I prime with 4 drops.
I perform the appropriate invert and pump process.
I never dry burn.
I am very careful not to chain-vape and over heat the atty.
I use the same TV liquid (caramel popcorn).
I have the new chassis.

Vapage seems very quality conscious by all accounts, they have offered to replace the atty I told them about, and they sent out new chassis to all the owners of the original chassis free. So I am inclined to think I may be doing something wrong.

Thanks

Try soaking the atty for a bit before you fire it up.
Seems kinda weird that you had doa attys, and a short lived one.
My experience with the Hybrid is that they last quite a long time.

I'm glad to hear Vapage is replacing them for you...seems like a fluke.

Hiya Vmodians!!! Gotta say I'm lovin' this lil bad boy!! But could someone please tell me what is goin on with the leaking inside:confused: I've tried looking for the solution by removing the cone and the sleeve, and what a surprise, no leaks when using without them!!! Foward a lil, sleeve and cone are back on, remove to check, and it's doused in liquid:( Like I said I really love this mod, just want some insight on the leak!! I already tried different gaskets that came with it, cut some carto condoms a lil shorter thinkin they were getting compressed by the cone, thus causing the leak!! All to no avai:blink:l!! Please Help Vmodians!!!

Wash your mod under the faucet and dry it. Then keep the cover and cone off and give it a squeeze. Look under the atomizer where the green arrow is pointing and see if it is leaking there when you tip and squeeze to refill. You will see a drop of juice per hard squeeze come down.

That is where mine was leaking and maybe you have the same problem.

Thanks juicejunky!!I do see drops down there, but only after cone has been installed and then removed to check. I can use it non stop without a single leak if the cone is not attached!!

That is an open hole, so you are building up too much pressure forcing liquid under the atty. Do no power dry hits to empty the atty and pull up excess juice before you squeeze and don't squeeze so hard. That helped me. The seal kit has a silcone catch cup you can install in there to hold the drips (pdf with instructions on the Vapage site) but eventually it will get gross in there, so best to learn it's limits.

I flipped over the white gasket on the bottom of the atty to get a better seal, not sure if it did much.

Here is the link for the pdf on the seal kit. http://www.vapage.com/v/vspfiles/Seal_Install_Guide.pdf

It sounds like the gasket that goes around the outside of the atty is not seating properly. Maybe closing off the hole for juice when you put the cone on. I think there is a tag at the bottom of the page for this, but let me check. I'll be back :)

BTW ~ Welcome to the family :)

Edit:
Looks like juicejunky gave some good info. Also post #3038 has some pretty good info on where leaks come from and possible fixes.

Ok, I'll start off by saying ty to all who are helping on this!!!! I really appreciate it!! I have the cone just barely threading, so the sleave even has a very slight wiggle to it. I did realize, that I didn't instal the catch cup:facepalm:So I am working on that at this moment:blink: Lets see how it goes Thanks for the link juicejunky!!

Here is where it is leaking.

Close up of the hole. If you stick a light under there you can see it is an open hole.

I'd take the silicone band gasket that you attach to the atty itself off and see if that relieves the pressure for you by allowing more air flow. I don't think it needs that one to operate. Somehow the juice is getting forced down through the hole at the bottom of the atty.

I don't know why that hole on the bottom has to be there at all.

Ok, I just thought of something that happened to someone else. The vmod comes w/a gasket installed, and one in the kit. If the one in the vmod isn't removed it can create an issue. Not saying that is the case, just thinking of past scenario's to try and help. Good luck and please keep us posted...
