I don't usually pay much attention to all the new mods either. My screwdriver and xhaler have been very reliable. It's just that lately I have been wanting a second HV device. The buzz caught my eye because I saw that it said variable voltage. It must have a potentiometer in it because they say you can dial it to any voltage to fit the atty you are running. It's really not all that pretty but the functionality of it sounds good. If anyone sees a V1 on the classifieds for a reasonable price then I would appreciate a nudge in that direction.

Ok skrymr, I know you're out there. Don't make me sit here and talk to myself all weekend.

Yeah, I'm be here today, but tomorrow I'll be at the post grilling brats, burgers, and hot dogs all day.

I've been quiet because I don't have any mods.

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July!!! Remember to thank a soldier!!

Sunset, I'm actually not doing any cooking this weekend. I told my wife I would do some stuff tomorrow but she said she didn't want to mess with feeding everyone and cleaning up afterwards so we're just having dessert for everyone.

That's nice of you to do that skrymr. I was in the army from 89-92. I went to Saudi Arabia on an advance party when the gulf war stuff first started. I ended up being there for about 9 months. Don't care to ever go back. Thank the soldiers for us. Tell them we appreciate everything they do.

I will Scott, and thank you for you're service. As far as I'm concerned you can't hear that enough.

I've been doing this for about 10 years now. I make sure I always have vacation the week of the 4th so I can prepare for it.

Sherry spent the last couple days baking cookie's this year that we will give away for any donation to the Memorial fund to help pay off the memorial my Dad got built. Lat year we tried selling cup cakes, but no one wanted any until we gave them away for a donation. Kind of funny, we made more by "giving" them away than we would have selling them.

here is a link to the Memorial. My Dad's name is on it, my Grandpa's, and this year my Dad and I paid to put Sherry's son's name on it.

Hey guys, getting a little bored and of course on my 3rd glass of wine so thought I'd throw a picture out. My Protege and a big bottle of Red Bull!
Behind is the 5:45pm Lufthansa to Frankfurt getting ready to back out.

Skrymr, Thanks for posting the link. Oh my, I always seem to come up short on words...and as you said to Hitt, can't be said enough to both of you, Hitt and Skrymr and your families-Thank you for your service and that's not enough to say - words do fall short.

Sunset, I was never in the service. I apologize if I gave that impression. My dad was in Vietnam, and my Grandpa was in the Pacific Islands during WWII. Sherry's son had two tours in Iraq. Words can't express how proud I am of all of them.

That's awesome skrymr that you give your time like that. Thanks for the kind words from you and sunset.

PTJD, I am starting to think you are a puresmoker fan. Two prodigy pv's and now a protege. Hmm. I am still considering a V3 but can't decide for sure. I looked at the GLV2 that Wiz got but its about 30 more than the V3. Maybe I should just get some low resistance attys for my screwdriver. I guess I could just keep procrastinating like I have been. I have gotten pretty good at it.

So I was just out reading through some of the supplier forums and wow... It's gotten a little toxic out there since I started spending most of my time in smokeless and here at EC. Lots and lots of new faces too, so I guess personality conflicts are bound to happen. Still, I hate to see it because I found the forums so darned helpful starting out. Makes me glad to be here with a much more civil bunch! Guess I'll just keep my head down when I'm out there lurking *that* side of the tracks.

Thanks skrymr. I hope you have a great 4th also and say hello to the soldiers for us. I took my daughters the other day to buy fireworks. They don't light anything themselves but have a great time watching while I do it. They had a couple friends over last night and they did some of the big sparklers and I lit a few small fountains and stuff for them. We usually have a pretty decent arsenal and if ours isn't enough , the neighbor on the corner usually has ten or fifteen people over that each bring fireworks so we can watch theirs too.
