I agree Hitt.........It's not the quantity of people here it's always been the quality. I think we speak for ourselves!:D

I am surprised that more of our pals from the smokeless sub-forum don't join in though!

Vacation starts Monday(have to clean the grill this week!)

Both of those sound good to me skrymr. I was trying to think of who I haven't seen post in the EC. I hope Wiz is good at breathing thru his mouth. I doubt there will be much room in his nose for air with him getting closer to the quit date and being on vacation.

I was thinking Tattooer or Allco. I think Vaporer has been around?
Skr....I will cruise the smokeless group and send invites to those who you mentioned....Think there may have been one or two late arrivals!

I just watched Unthinkable with Samuel L. Jackson. Excellent movie in a disturbing sort of way. I won't ruin it for anyone, just think twice before renting. I like movies that shake you up, and not always in a good way.

Watched "Shutter Island" the other night, I thought it kinda sucked! and seemed too long.

Oh, Wiz have a great vacation, pic's please!

I was pretty disappointed as well. Tonight it's The Book of Eli.
Crap and Double Crap!! I was really looking forward to seeing this movie! I have one of theose Comcast On-Demand gift cards for new releases and was going to use it for that one. Skr........Let us know how Book of Eli is....Maybe I will rent that one also! Anyone seen The Road?

Not much to photograph on this vacation PTJD.....I will be homebound!(maybe dome food pics),Later this summer I will be in Upper-Mi for a week....Lots of scenery there!:D

Two thumbs up for The Book of Eli. Not you're typical post apocalyptic thriller. Next up is probably The Road. Anyone seen it?

Skrymr, Thanks for the hint on The Book of Eli, I just added it to my Netflix list.

The Road is already on my list to see.

PTJD & Skrymr, I thought Shutter Island was terrible, also. And I read the book thinking the movie has to be better. Nope

Tonight is Avatar. I know it won't have the same effect as the 3D in the movies, but still can't wait.

3 old ones I've put on my list this week...just because I now I have HD and want to watch again are The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I can't believe they started coming out in 2001...doesn't seem like that long ago. But, those graphics were great on regular t.v., should be worth seeing again - I hope.:D

sunset, I loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I have it on dvd and have watched it a few times. I remember when I first got my bose system, the first movie I watched was the Matrix. The sound of the girl running across the roofs was incredible. I don't have a blu ray player yet. I just haven't been motivated to buy one. Maybe when I get a new tv for the living room.

Hittman, I don't have a blu ray player either. But, I'm pretty well please with the DVD player that upscales that I've never desired a Blu Ray Player. And it was super cheap - $88 at the time.

Isn't it crazy, almost 2 years later I'm still amazed when I watch my Sony HD and remember the old sets. In fact, don't laugh, if I see a nature scene I've been known to back up TIVO and watch again just to enjoy the picture and how it brings things to 'life'. Maybe I need to get out more in nature or travel.:D

Oh, have you seen Planet Earth-wow? My brother has the Ocean ones, that I need to get back and watch.

That's why I might like seeing Lord of the Rings again and be able to appreciate more what he did in that movie.

Heck, I don't even have a HD tv yet sunset. We have had a ton of medical bills over the past five or six years with my wife's breast cancer and some other stuff she had. It just hasn't been a priority. We could go buy one but it just hasn't been important to us yet. I do want one and will buy one some day. My oldest is going to be getting braces soon and I will have to make a down payment plus monthly payments so I don't see a new tv in my near future. It's ok though. It doesn't bother me too much. My time will come. Or I would like to think so anyway.

Ohhh, I thought you meant you didn't have a Blu Ray Player. Well, you aren't the only one, my Brother just got one only because the big tube finally gave out - which makes sense if something works and he doesn't watch much, either - why replace it. Now he's pretty happy that the prices did fall quit a bit in the last couple of years.

Skrymr, I will have to rent book of Eli and watch it.

Oh don't get too caught up in Blu Ray. Last year we broke down and bought a play station3 for Blu ray, it was actually cheaper to get the ps3 at the time than a dedicated player. Now first of all I like to rent at redbox and they don't carry Blu ray so have to go to block buster. Now for Sci-Fi like Avatar its really good but for regular movies we can't tell the difference. We did have it hooked up to our back patio and one thing nice about the ps3 is I can surf the internet on my back patio!

Yes sir......Thats why we bought the PS3 also...Internet over the TV and the BlueRay were deciding factors!
