Sort of a combo. Note, I've only loaded 5 cartos so far but they've been great for more than 2 weeks now.
When new and empty, I drip maybe 10 drops on the battery end, they get sucked right in. Flick a bit to work
juice in there. Then pop the soft tip off and fill the rest from the mouth end (aim at the walls of the tube and rotate, avoiding the hole down the center) until filler material looks slushy, about 6-10 drops at a time; flick; do it again, until the top of filler doesn't look any drier after flicking. If you overfill, you may flick a little stream of juice out the battery end (oops). Adding juice a little at a time avoids this. After the first fill I refill cartos from the top only. You get to know how slushy is too wet after a couple of times.
I like this better than the CCFM and Taryn spin - much neater, less fiddling with the condoms, easier to avoid overfills, no juice on the outside of the carto to wipe off and make hands sticky. Takes a little longer but less mess is worth it to me. Plus you don't waste those extra droplets of juice that inevitably get sucked back in the condom when you pull it off - when you change to a different carto, if you put the condoms back on sticky - there's that juice residue making mess again.
