Sorry, if this is TMI

Normally I have a very heavy heavy flow (1 tampon/hr, and usually leaks onto pad near the end of the hour)

Ever since I started vaping, its been ultra light. So light I cannot even use a tampon. (Sucks!)

Has anybody else had a change?

Just wondering!

I can't answer (happily!) - I am done.

However, - I am curious - why can't you use a tampon when it is light????

There's no point. 12 hours could go by and my tampon would be half dry.
You would think after 12 hours you might want to change your tampon,
and pulling out a half dry tampon is painful 8-o

Hysterectomy 12 years ago!

I don't know how you ladies get hysterectomies willingly!
Even if I definitely didn't want kids anymore, i'm not sure I could
willingly give up my uterus, just because i'd like to know that the option
is still there. Seriously. Weird huh? Even if I definitely didn't want anymore
kids!

I would love to have one...just the uterus, leave the ovaries. I have 2 kids (son almost 19 and daughter almost 6) and there is no way I'm having any more. I'm 41 and I want at least a little somewhat young time without kids living at home to spend with Hubby. As it is I'll be 53 by the time the little one goes to college. I had my tubes tied during the c-section, so what's the use of keeping the uterus. I'd love no more bleeding, cramps, bloating and feeling rotten.

I had fibroid tumors, all benign but why keep the pain? I was done with kids when I was 20! My daugher was a preemie and the Dr. said I had a weak pelvic floor. So when I got a Dr. to agree to the Hysterectomy..I just hugged him! I did have my tubes tied after my daughter was 5 and son was 6. I couldn't handle pills or IUD's anymore.
It was the best gift I ever gave myself.:)

Mine was lighter than normal and shorter too. I hadn't considered it a side effect to vaping, but I'll be keeping a closer watch over the next few months so I can confirm or deny it. I'm not on any hormonal birth control so the cycle is as natural as it gets.

If you are a tampon user, perhaps you'd be interested in menstrual cups? They don't hurt to remove when your flow is light, but can take some practice on heavier days. :)

I did it WILLINGLY at age 42 and I didn't have children...I just wanted the 3-week period every month to GO AWAY! What a relief it was. I drove my female co-workers nutz whenever they complained by saying, "Did I mention I don't have to worry about that anymore? :D

I do have a friend who should have had one years ago but won't because she doesn't think she'd still feel like a woman. I don't know if it was the relief from the pain or just hitting my 40s but my libido jumped SKY HIGH.

My only initial concern was that sex might be different since I had a complete hysterectormy (includes the cervix). I cracked up my then-neighbor (who is a nurse) by asking her if the guy might be reminded about the college prank "short sheeting." Come to think of it, she never could answer...just kept laughing.

Niluvani - I never thought of associating it with vaping but maybe you're on to something. Last month I was 4 days later than usual and when it did come instead of having my usual 4 days of heavy "kill me now please!" bleeding and cramps followed by 3 of light.. I only had 1 day heavy and 4 light.. I thought it was odd but figured since I'm not on any kind of hormonal anything that it was just my body doing its thing. Now I'm 2 days late so far this month (as compared to last month) and it's starting to irritate me, I'd been on a set schedule for years only varying by a day or two once or twice a year... it's odd:confused:

Moonflame - Indometrial abulation - I did it 3 years ago. Had extremely heavy periods, cramping..... My doc suggested the abulation. Done as an outpatient. It is basically a burning off of the lining that causes the bleeding. I haven't had a period since.

The day I had the procedure I had extreme cramps (they give meds for that) and have not had a cramp since. I would recommend it to any and all who are finished having children.

My best friend has that done a year ago and she is still talking about how great her life is. :D

OT I know, but I had a couple of years of almost unmanageable periods. I honestly had to plan my life around it. And I was just about to schedule an abulation too, when I read this article about aspartame and how it's an endocrine interrupter or something like that, anyway I stopped use apartame in any form and everything returned to normal. It could be just a big cowinky and there is a lot of controversy about aspartame, and I don't know what the truth is about it. I just know what happened to me.

I haven't used aspertame for years. It, and all other artificial sweeteners, give me horrible migraines. The crazy thing is that my mother keeps trying to sneak Splenda into things that she knows I'm going to eat to prove it's "all my imagination." Thankfully, I can taste it immediately and refuse to eat it. Of course she's been trying to tell me for years that all of my Fibromyalgia symptoms are "all in my head." I'll talk to my doctor about the abulation next visit. I'm sure my Hubby would appreciate anything that makes me more pleasant to be around during that time :).

Interesting. I've never been big on diets. Why use fake sugar?
Sugar is fine - in moderation! Too much of anything is a bad thing!

I just dont understand why people go low fat, low sugar, no sugar/fat, low carb..
nonsense if you ask me! :D

Home make your pizza, burgers, fries, etc. Yum! Watch your portion size, too!

Ok, I'll stop ranting. I just dont understand diets =P
