My mother has been on a diet of some sort for as long as I can remember. She has also been the same weight as long as I can remember. I'll admit I'm chunkier than I should be, but I resist when she tells me I should try all of her diets because it has left her at the same weight and now with diabetes. I'd rather eat real food instead of all the chemical nonsense. I'll restrict chemicals to what I vape :).

There's no point. 12 hours could go by and my tampon would be half dry.
You would think after 12 hours you might want to change your tampon,
and pulling out a half dry tampon is painful 8-o

No sh** super ow! The new always infinity are great, super thin but very absorbent. Not great if your really active though as the absorbent material can crumb, and yuck.

Interesting. I've never been big on diets. Why use fake sugar?
Sugar is fine - in moderation! Too much of anything is a bad thing!

I just dont understand why people go low fat, low sugar, no sugar/fat, low carb..
nonsense if you ask me! :D

Home make your pizza, burgers, fries, etc. Yum! Watch your portion size, too!

Ok, I'll stop ranting. I just dont understand diets =P

Me neither, course being post-baby still, they're tempting, cause I still have a prego appetite, and before the baby I never had an appetite so I'm having trouble not eating all the time.

I would have never attributed the change in my cycle to my vaping, but you might just be right. My first cycle since vaping appeared without the usual pre-pain and cramps. I did not once have any mishaps or ecessive flow that I have had for about a year. I had none of the extreme pain (like my uterus has fallen out onto the floor and someone is stepping on it). My ovaries did not feel on fire.

I actually went back to my pre-children days. It caught me by surprise, there was no pain, a three day cycle and no leaking through a tampon. Recently I couldn't even go one hour without a change. The huge clots were absent, too.

It was only my first period since starting, my second is coming soon. I hope you are right. It would be nice to not have my daily life totally upset and unmanageable.

The only possibe bad thing about either vaping or my wonderful new inproved period, is I had an explossion of pimples, that I have never had in all my life. I am usually a one to two pimple a month kinda gal. Maybe it will make my wrinkles go away, also?
(I had thought I was probably getting micotine on my face and having a reaction)

You need to eat about 300 more calories than you normally would, if breastfeeding. I just had a baby myself 7 mos. ago :D
Congrats!

I had to suddenly stop breastfeeding, I had an infection on my c-section and had to take meds & things. By then my boobies dried up :(

Breastfed my first baby though for 11 mos.

I did for 9, (she's almost 12mo now) and was forced to ween her cause she started biting (she has no teeth but it still hurt bad). Normally I weigh 110lbs, normally I eat extremely healthy not nearly nutrient rich enough cholesterol free food because at 25 I went borderline high cholesterol and have teetered ever since damn jeans). I had to get 500 extra cals a day for nursing cause I burn them like rubber on a stock cars wheels. However the baby and possibly edging closer to 30 are changing this. Now I sit happily at a fluffy 135-ish, my problem is trying to avoid going over it, returning to a low cholesterol diet, and not feeling starved.

I'm jealous, it's a constant struggle for me, and always has been. Tried everything out there OTC and Prescription for it and no luck. But my mom still has breakouts...I know my BioDad did as an adult too though don't know if he still does.

Mine was lighter than normal and shorter too. I hadn't considered it a side effect to vaping, but I'll be keeping a closer watch over the next few months so I can confirm or deny it. I'm not on any hormonal birth control so the cycle is as natural as it gets.

If you are a tampon user, perhaps you'd be interested in menstrual cups? They don't hurt to remove when your flow is light, but can take some practice on heavier days. :)

I am so glad you mentioned that. I just started using these after researching online for quite a long time. I was so excited and never saw anything negative about them....but didnt realize that there would be suction involved, and that when I tried to pull it out, and the air gets sucked in, that blood all has to go somewhere...like all over my hand and arm almost up to my elbow!! Gross!!! Is there any way to avoid that? I don't want to give them up just yet but trying to figure out a better way of doing this....If anyone can help, please do....pm me if this is getting too graphic....

Durant, Ok
On the subject of the cycle.. I finally started today (A whole week late!.. wanna talk about stressed?? 8-o ) But its really light compared to normal.. (Using regular tampons instead of super) and no cramps to speak of (normally I'm doubled over in pain for the first 2 days changing supers every hour & a half) .. This is my 2nd period since completely switching to PV's .. I really hope #3 isn't a week later than this one.. that would put me starting ON my 21st birtday! If that happens I'm going to cry

Durant, Ok
I started vaping in April and my cycles were a little lighter, duration not as long and cramps not as bad first 3 months. Sad to say back to "normal" now, cramps, duration and flow :(. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

I think I'd prefer it to go back to normal to be honest. I don't like it when my body doesn't do what I expect it to, I have it bad enough with my joints randomly deciding not to work just because they don't want to.. the last thing I want to be doing is starting at a calender going "2 days late.. 3 days late.. 4 days late... a week late!!! " with the stress levels going up every half hour.. I swear I was bout 2 hours from a total break down before I started yesterday.. I mean seriously a whole Week later than the previous month?! And if you go by my normal schedule I was 2 weeks later than I should have been... Needless to say I saw the blood and literally went "Thank you god!" and I'm not even religious! lol but I do have to say this thread was/is reassuring.. I'm glad we have the women's room and can talk about this sort of thing... am I the only one that would be totally freaked out if we didn't have other women around here having the same/similar unexpected "side effect" ??
