Yup, but if you ever hold a guinea feather and really look at it, you'll be knocked over by the perfect symmetry of the dots, each one pure white, surrounded by a thin, jet black line... it's quite beautiful.
It's just too bad they have such ugly heads. I think they're distant cousins to the vulture. Just a bit smaller version. They have a huge wingspan, which you never really notice, until like yesterday when I went to toss some seeds for the mama and her new keets, and she tipped forward and spread her wings, growling at me (yes, I was scared, and rightly so! ), and I swear, she's got a three foot wingspan, at least! LOL!
Good grief! I had NO idea. I mean, I seen them all the time around the neighborhood, but never really close up.
I know, they don't look that big when they're just running around with their wings folded up. What's really fun is when a whole flock is airborne and comin' right at your head! You duck. There's no question. You duck!

That's cute! I have a similar one. We got a new bed for our red Dobie, Cody (RIP) and our Kato-kitty (also RIP) stole it from him. He didn't even want to SHARE, bad kitty! Just plunked himself squarely in the middle and made the dawg sleep on the floor (because that's where dawgs are S'POSED to sleep, right?
