While I have never created or used a catapult (who'd want to pult a cat?) , I did grow up with slingshots. With the right projectile (we didn't have a lot of ball bearings, but glass marbles were very easy to come by), I have killed a lot of rodents. And yes, "you could put an eye out with that thing." She was the horror hostess in the movie, too, but her aunt died and she thought she'd inherited money and needed 50 grand to pay to some Las Vegas hotel to let her perform there, so she goes to this small town in Massachusetts to collect, and meets her wicked uncle, and well... it really is a stupid movie, but it takes me waaaaay back! And the dog is cute!
