I've just proved to myself that I no longer smoke, and as long as I have my vape, I never will.
Yesterday, the dog collapsed when he got up. After waiting most of the day, it turned out to be cancer of the spleen (almost invisible, no symptoms until there suddenly ARE symptoms, and very aggressive). The dog was about to turn fifteen, unlikely to survive the surgery, and bleeding internally pretty badly. With the doctor's advice, we had him put to sleep.
Then early this morning I got a call. My better half's kidney stone was moving again, and guess who forgot their pain meds? I ran those in and drove us home.
Later this afternoon I realized I never, through the whole mess, wanted a cigarette. But my vape and I were attached through the period.
I guess I'm officially and totally a non-smoker.
