Lots of people prefer the Riva510 lite bundle for a couple of reasons:
• the button is rubber instead of plastic, so it won't be likely to stick and has a more comfortable feel.
• the Riva runs at a true 3.7volts instead of 3.2volts like the eGo (more volts = warmer vaper, harder hits)
• it's only $30 at liberty flights when you employ the 20% discount button

If you get the Riva510 instead of the eGo then you can buy a couple of add-ons with your savings too:

• drip tip for $2 (bypasses your carts, allowing you to drip directly into the atomizer for ease of tasting multiple flavors in a row, also easier to use when you are at home)

• Boge LR 2.0ohm cartomizers for $8/pack of five (get to try "LR" low resistance mimics a higher voltage e-cig, fill them up and go, no more topping off carts all day, easy and less messy, great for driving)

Then, all you need is about 30-60ml of e-liquids for about $15 per 30ml in different flavors and strengths (most vapers use 24mg juice and go through about 3ml per day) and you are all set to try vaping the following ways:

• cartridges
• drip tip
• cartomizers
• low resistance

...and all for $55-$80.

Good luck! :)

No but it sounds interesting! And who knows, someday you might make you own mods. I've seen some great looking wood mods around.

That's the same kit as the one at LF. LF is a little cheaper. Lite Cig is a good company also.

You'll be happy with it! I'd recommend getting a box of boge cartos.

I think LF is out of eGo's atm...

To the OP and fwiw, I read these discussions for hours and hours, then days and days and finally got into weeks. lol I'm not very impulsive when it comes to spending money. I was quite sure my first pv should be cigarette like. And auto. wow - thank you veterans - after reading all their good advice I decided to go with the Riva 510 from LF. I couldn't be happier. It only took one day to get used to pushing the button on the manual and I found the larger cigar-style doesn't bother me one bit. I find the cartomizers super easy to refill and the battery lasts me about 6-7 hours. Easy......good luck with your purchase!

so drip tips for the Boge cart's just to make it easy filling for a newb?

Actually, no. (Just to add to the confusion.) For a cartomizer, the drip tip is just semi-cosmetic....and for comfort but not for refilling. A drip tip is either for dripping into an atomizer (not a cartomizer) or for comfort in that a cartomizer can get sorta hot and may burn your lips a little. It does make it easier to refill a carto because it's easier to get off than the little white cap, but when you refill a carto, you need to drip on the filling around the center hole and make sure not to drip into the center hole. So....the drip tip is for comfort of your mouth and for ease of refilling because it's easy to remove. You shouldn't drip into it thinking you're refilling your carto because the drips will hit the wrong spot. Sorry to confuse.

I'm pretty new to this I jumped to an eGo-T after a week of using a 510. The short battery life and messy cartridges of the 510 didn't work for me. I know plenty of people love the 510 so just take this as a single data point in your research. I don't think anyone would disagree on the battery life, though. Being able to vape all day on a single charge rocks.

The eGo-T does have it's own problems but they can be overcome with a more rigid cleaning regimen and careful selection of juices (I think the 510 atomizer can take a lot more abuse which is why they're so widely respected).

My only other recommendation would be to get a few different juices. Not just flavor wise but also different blends of PG and VG. I dropped almost $100 on PG juices only to realize that I'm sensitive to it and had to switch to VG. Also don't assume you're only going to be into tobacco flavored juices exclusively. Don't be afraid to experiment. I found out I dig waffle flavored juice, even though I can't remember the last time I actually ate them. Go figure. :)

if you go with the 808, buying pre-filled carts will end up costing a lot of money. the best way to go is to buy some sample sized juices to find some flavors you like (flavor enjoyment is extremely subjective), then just clean and refill the cartos until they die. i've been on the same 5 carts for about a month and they're still going pretty strong *knock knock*. a pack of 5 blank carts will run about 8-10 bucks, and a 30ml bottle of a juice you enjoy goes a pretty long way. i don't get v4l juices (i bought the pre-filled carts from them when i first started, but i'd rather buy american mixed juices), plus they don't sell sample sizes as far as i know, so you might get stuck with a heaping 30ml bottle of crap you don't like. their cool carts are pretty awesome though(wow carts get too hot for me).

i gotta say though, i regret getting an 808 because it looks like too similar to a cigarette. you're sure to get a lot of glares from people if you're using it in a public area.
