I had an interesting chat with one of the online vendor. He said he was very confident to say that there are only few authorized aw dealers or none in US. The reason why was because authentic AW batteries cost way more than fake ones, which it really doesn't matter they are flat tops or button tops. And there is no way online vendors sells them below 16 dollars for 18650 IMR batteries if we do the math. Those manufactures have ability to dupe identical to the authentic ones. ..... so even it has holligrams on AW stickers or not, quote, they are likely imitations. Also, he said AW had stopped distributing in China although they are made in China...... so what are your thoughts on this?

A supplier cannot survive without a resale chain.
B&M sellers claiming Online sellers only sell fake are attempting to Drive business to the door. A poor way at best to generate business. I would not support a dealer willing to lie to get me in the door.
