Yeah most people like to have a couple but there are some that run only one and have done so for many years . As long as you have a few spare parts you cant stop one of these mods and the need for a spare mod isn't necessary

I can vouch for that, not had a backup for a couple months. Waiting to get #2. Oh and welcome to the family :)

Congrats and welcome. I believe with that atty you have to use NR / R wire. It's where the part that contacts the atty is no resistance (NR) and the coil itself is resistance (R). I know nothing about how to build and install a coil in one but maybe you do, so it's all good, but just a heads up, it's not an atty like an RM2 (or most others for that matter) where you just use resistance wire to make a coil and install it.

Oh, and no worries about ruining the neighborhood - I think I did that when I moved in :)

The eBaron, as mentioned, uses a "coil in a cup".
It works as top OR bottom-feed.
You can get a TON of info on it from the people in the ByLeo thread.
You can get pre-made coils from ByLeo, or recoil using premade wires NR-R-NR that most people get here.
Also - you have the "spiral" top, and also have a "bottle" top. The spiral, you can pop in a drip tip, while the bottle, you can't.
It's a nice little device - it was the first dripper that I loved (I have the "Pro" version that's built to match a ProVari) because it was "forgiving" of my crappy coils.
:)

To be honest I don't know much about drippers. I had planed on ordering a Reo with the RM 2.0. It has a very small chamber. It seem like what I would need as someone who likes flavor not clouds. The ERA may be even smaller. I don't know anything about it or the eBaron yet.

Thanks everybody. It's going to be a long week of waiting. I read some good things about the ebaron. I might buy a box of off the shelf ceramic coils for it so I can try it out the way it was designed to be used before I start playing with it. It's suppose to be really easy to squonk and that might be a good thing until I get the hang of it. That's the first time ever typed the word "squonk".

Squonk IS a fun word...
While I do recommend starting the eBaron with a stock coil - cause they work fine - I'd recommend starting your REO with the Reomizer (RM2). It's kind of THE DEFAULT atomizer for a REO, and the favorite for a LOT of people!

Squonking with the eBaron works - but not as well as some other atomizers built specifically for bottom-feeders...

Just my opinion...
I'm sure you'll try 'em all and pick a favorite.
(Or, like me, start collecting atomizers until you have too many, and find that you need another Reo)

Congrats on the Reo bikeguy!

I have an Ebaron dripper that I used to run on my provari before I got reomized. It's a nice atty but (this is just my opinion mind you) it is a pita to coil and wick compared to the rm2 or a cyclone. If I remember correctly, you have to wind and stuff your wicks a certain way plus you need to use nr/r wire. You can use r-wire but your ohms will be higher due to the long tails.

By comparison, coiling and wicking an rm2,cyclone and probably (I don't own one) the ERA is dead simple. I learned all this the long, hard way and have plenty of unused vaping gear to prove it.

Unused and neglected gear: 2 provaris, cartel and pegasus tube mods. A 50w box mod and kayfun nano that I bought on a stupid whim after I already had the perfect vape on my reo. It held my attention for 2 days before I went right back to the reo/cyclone and I haven't backslidden since. Also a fogger, rsst, an AC9, etc... I can't even remember it all. Keep in mind, most of that was purchased during my first year vaping, took me a year to wise up and get the Reo. I even have one of those nr/r wire zapper thingies. I honestly should sell some of this stuff.:D

I suppose what I'm babbling about is this:

You are about to attain vaping nirvana with that reo and a decent bf atty. You are going to be astounded, baffled and amazed at the ease, performance and simplicity compared to any top-fed system like a kayfun, fogger, etc. Just give yourself a week or so to get the hang of coil building and squonking.

Then, like myself, you may ask your reo, "Where have you been all my life?"

cheers

Thank you. The Ebaron does sound like a pita, but I'm still wanting to play around with it when it gets here. I was just thinking about starting a thread about it. My biggest problem with it is, playing around with it could get expensive fast. I would like to just buy a box of ready made coils in a cup for it at first. They aren't cheap. I don't really want clouds at all. I like being able to vape anywhere. I mix 100% PG and I've been using a Smok PBC v1 at 7 watts or less. It's basically a large volume Protank. I usually rebuild the heads at about 2.2-2.4 ohms. From what I'm reading I'll probably want to go lower with a dripper, but I have no idea how low. I would like to buy one set and at least be in the ball park.

I'm not even sure what forum would be best to post a thread about this.

Welcome,
I love my Dripper,
It squonks like a 510 or a 306 atomizer, you will need to "blind squonk" to pull juice into the atty, let it drain and (because it pulls air from the 510) dry pull to clear the "gurgle". It is also almost leak proof so it works well on other devices (flavour/build testing). Similar to a 510 or 306, the dripper gives a warm, flavourful vape. I tend to buy/build in the 1.2Ω-1.6Ω range. I take a 2-3 second pull from a fully charged AW 18650 and find it very "cigarette" like.
Jump HERE for more.

Pro tip: Redi-wires from Fluid: round, ribbon and soon TI from .05Ω up.

Cheers

Thanks. It looks like it only has one ceramic with it so I was going to buy a box so I would have spares. Then buy ready wires or make them. I was also going to get insulators to have on hand. 1.2Ω-1.6Ω range sounds low to me, but I don't know. It's going to be way different than a Protank head.
