Been thinking about this a lot today... vaping is just so much better in so many levels..it tastes better.. More variety.. Always more to learn.. Vapemail (get presents outside official present days..love me presents) something to show for the money spend not just dirty ashtrays ... Toys, shinier toys. And ecf is at least as much fun as any smoking section has ever been.. And best part is that its portable. If i have me phone i have me buddies with me...

There is really nothing left that has any real
pull back to smoking..

I am right there with you! I can't go back to smoking because the smell alone now makes me literally vomit! I can't stand the taste of cigarettes anymore! I love the flavors, there are so many yummy ones to choose from I guess that is why I went nutso and ordered 36 bottles of 102ml of different flavors lol! Cigarettes make you stink, they make your house stink, your car stink, and they are just plain ole nasty! I couldn't smoke one now if I tried! I'm in the same boat as you there is nothing really pulling me back to smoking, but I am afraid to stop vaping out of fear that I will pick up the cigarettes again, so I keep on keeping on!

Vape on my friend! :vapor:

I agree whole heartly with your statement and I have no desire ever to go back to tobacco.

There is something missing. What ever that something is be it wta or what ever is getting less and less important.

Vaping is almost perfect, I cant wait for that remaining something to go away completely.

For me, that something missing feeling went away when I found a flavor that just hit the spot in a way that others didn't. I was probably 85% happy with vaping, but like you said, felt just a little twinge of something missing especially first thing in the morning with my coffee. But then I tried a new flavor that suited me perfectly and no more twinges. It's been two years and although I try other flavors for fun, that hit-the-spot flavor is one I still use more than any others. Hope vaping is perfect for you soon!

When I still worked at my last job and everyone went out for a cig break, id bum one once or twice a week. Now that I dont work there anymore, I dont find myself craving them at all.
However, I just found that my wife had a pack in her purse that she had gotten for free (coupons). She is a 'three a week puffer(singles not packs)' not an inhaler, and she likes it so, whatever. I took one and had a couple drags, no big deal, no desire to go back.

I do find it funny when I hear people talking about how DISGUSTING!!! analogs are. Maybe Ill never mind the smell, maybe I will. It just doesnt push my judgmental button.

It's been two years for me and I don't mind the smell when I walk by someone who is smoking. I don't want one, but I don't mind the smell. I always invite friends who smoke to go ahead and do it in my home because I remember feeling like the pariah who had to stand outside to catch a smoke. The only smell that bothers me is when someone gets in an elevator with me or in line next to me and they reek of smoke not as though they just had a cig but as though they've been smoking for 25 years and haven't bathed or washed their clothes in all that time lol. But then again, that bothered me even when I smoked, so that's not new. Not everyone who smokes reeks and some people who have never smoked a single cig reek in their own way. If a person is a heavy smoker but they have good personal hygiene, I barely notice the smell on them.

I did end up finding the taste of cigs disgusting though. After just a few days of vaping and smoking, I couldn't stand the taste of a cig anymore. It just tasted nasty compared to Fudge Brownie or Fiddle Faddle flavored eliquid. I can't even imagine how bad it would taste to me now that it's been two years.

That happens to, I would say, the majority of us - the whole smoking going gross on you when you switch. But it doesn't happen for everyone. As a 30 year 2 PAD former smoker I sure as hell never saw that coming, since any other conventional quit attempt was nothing but a desperate craving to smoke and smell smoke. Within the first week of vaping - while still smoking - I was already washing out hats and jackets and man purses because I couldn't stand the smell stuck in them every time I put that stuff on. Within a month the smell of cigarette smoke - outdoors on the street even - made me feel like I wanted to yark. Who knew?

I actually think the same thing happens to some ex-smokers who didn't quit via vaping as well. I remember being told I stink by more ex-smokers then by non smokers. I can sort of understand now that I've quit and I can't stand the smell either, but I still don't understand why some feel the need to complain of it out loud. Like, quitting not only turned them off the smell and taste, it also made them forget their manners and stripped them of empathy....

Seriously. People who won't tell you if you have too much perfume, bad breath, body odor, or smell like a wet dog won't hesitate to tell you that you stink like smoke. It all goes along with the attitude of it being acceptable to kick a smoker because we all know they are lower life forms and not worthy of basic manners. It really peeves me off.

I'm with you there, I can't see any reason to ever light up a cig again. Vaping is far more enjoyable and rewarding for me, and I don't miss the ashtrays, or the ashes getting on my desk, or the holes burned in my clothes, the cost, or the smell, or the health effects of smoking. My lung function and overall health improved markedly after I got off the cigs and started vaping instead, and so did my finances. Once I had a mech and RBA and was making my own juice it got really cheap.

I got far more involved in vaping than was possible with smoking, there is a whole sub-culture involved, and a myriad of devices, builds, and juices to be explored. There are no Marlboro smoker's clubs that I know of, or forums for them. What is there to talk about or socialize over? Nothing but an unhealthy habit that is supplied by an evil industry at great cost to one's wallet and health.

My last cig was July 2nd of last year. Coming up on a year smoke free.

It's funny I found this thred this morning. I just woke up to thunder and pouring rain. Before I'd be standing out on my balcony in my pajamas half asleep trying to stay dry as I got my morning fix. This stormy morning, I just rolled over and grabbed my Reo. Warm, dry and on ECF. No Ciggrette can compete with that!

Chipotle.
I've been vaping for a solid six months now and the ONLY drawback for me is that after 11 years of smoking I am still getting used to not having a lighter on me, for those 11 years that I smoked you would NEVER ever ever find me without a lighter in my pocket, now on the rare occasion that I do need a lighter for something I'm always having to search around for one that still works or rummaging through the house/tool box to find something that makes fire which usually ends with me stealing the Wife's candle lighter.

Yesterday was a beautiful spring day in these parts and I happened to be taking a late lunch in a busy downtown area with shops, restaurants, offices, etc. Had some time to kill, and was just walking around really, looking around at the various shops. Just so happens that there were many people sitting around outside, taking their 'smoke breaks'.

I wanted to break out my ecig, give each of them a quick demo, give them my story of how I quit after a LOOOOOONG time of smoking, and see if I can convert anybody. Then I thought better of it (heheh...)

Damn, for the life of me, I am so happy that I don't do that any more. Ever wonder how in the world you could actually have sucked burning, hot tobacco smoke and particles into your lungs for so many years?
